What art critics think about art isn't nearly as significant in their value appraisal as what the works sell for at art auctions. Any hack art critic can **** on about what they think the art 'means'.

I love how everyone dumps on a lot of art they either don't understand or is genuinely crap, but none of these people ever go out and make a buck from doing what they claim is so easy. Geez Fosing, every week you're throwing out $250, what's up with that?

I do get a kick out of pretentious art snobs. There was a 20/20 episode on recently. They threw a bunch of childrens finger paints up at a showing in NYC. Then they had these people come in and view them. It was hilarious. They priced the pictures insane amounts. The people then talked about the value and the "feelings" behind the paintings. The best was when they were told it was childrens art. Some of them looked so defeated.

you can even do this at home lol. A friend of mine had an aunt that was supposed to be an expert on wines or something,

He found a bottle of some really expensive wine but he put he filled the bottle with the cheapest box wine he found. when she drank it she kept saying how amazing it tasted and she started to give all this praise to the wine
she was drinking really cheap wine and she had no idea. The bottle was the only thing that matter

they shouldn't have said it was a child painter, that was kind of stupid. they should have said it was just a regular artist.

i mean it would have been funnier if they thought it was a regular artist.
I bet some of them said what they said because they were surprised a girl painted those, Or they were trying to be nice to the girl artist. Im sure some of them were saying what they said because the girl is so young, trying to be supportive

But if the show said this was done by some random adult artist then the real bull--- would have come out lol.

Read both. Pretty far apart from each other. And considering neil and Clive are great friends, I doubt either one would rip each other off.

Genuinley upsetting. all that excited chanting.
Knew it was a spoof but wer'nt sure if it was genuine footage that had been doctored, or not at first, but realise it was total fakery.
They killed dumbo man that sucked
Only bit of light relief was the kid kicking the rocket man.
What does this say about war?
I don't know.
Is it art?
Maybe.
Is bansky art?
Suppose so if you take it, that it is social commentary and resuing remixing ideas to say something new and thought provoking.
It has a point and it was clever and original for its time, but now is over saturated and annoying to me anyway.

People that say its not art despite what I said earlier are wrong.
Might not be your taste but its still valid in its own right.

The ABC video is kind of funny, I could see how people fall for it. Sadly they look a lot like many painting you can find in a Modern Art museum.

The Bansky video is crap IMO. I honestly can't even think of a single good reason for the video.

Basically about a young girl who paints abstract art.

Also Style Wars, documentary about early 80s graffiti and hip hop. Very awesome film.

I've got to admit, I've fallen out of love with Banksys work.
I had a couple of prints, cost me about £500.

Just sold them to a gallery for £8000.
Should just about pay for a new kitchen
(I know, blame the wife. I did treat myself to a Darth Malgus PF though)
