I have to admit, it is annoying to be charged if it is not on the way. I have noticed that SS is guilty of this all of the time, I never have this issue with other online ordering systems. Invoicing shouldn't occur till the order is shipped, period.

I should add that I have a heavy background in WMS, and am a logistics manager for a very large sporting goods manufacturer/distributor. We can actually get into trouble from an auditing standpoint if we bill a customer and do not provide tracking. If SS needs to precharge to ensure that funds are there, they are in major need of an upgrade to their business OS.
