Doubtful.
Why?
Sideshow took it in the chin with the very valid criticisms of their ART S. BUCK bodies from a few years back as well as problematic design & quality issues with their in house bodies used on a variety of their 1:6 offerings.
Given their defined & established products over the past few years, it is doubtful that they'll consider let alone go ahead with offering their "base bodies" as stand alone products because in terms of $ . . . I doubt it's even an option for them regardless of how much you may argue otherwise with your business "logic" & "rationale".
We got base bodies from
ACI,
HOT TOYS,
KAUSTIC PLASTIK, and others in various types. From a business perspective, very doubtful that Sideshow is going to jump on that bandwagon. If they seriously had thoughts let alone plans . . . they would have already done it, but right now Sideshow's immediate priorities are with the
DC license for obvious reasons while other lines along with quality continues towards a downward trend or remain static with intermittent/periodic issues.
I feel their recent in house 1:6 bodies are very worthwhile, but then again it's not like their going to produce & sell them just because YOU absolutely feel & think they should based solely on your logic & perspective.
Sideshow and other companies make products based on the almighty bottom line of $ (i.e. we're going to make $ by producing & selling this based on our plan and not the logic, whims, & wishes of some individual collector or collectors).
If you continue to feel that strongly about how some companies will supposedly listen/read and do what "you" recommend, then why not try focusing your efforts on companies that appear to have some better level of collector/customer interaction such as . . .
OH . . .
KAUSTIC PLASTIK to name one based on what many have read online about them?
Just don't end up being a nuisance to them and screw it up for the rest of us.
