Got mine in today with plans to sell him off but Dam I gotta say this thing is impressive!

I actually got the cloak etc also which I wasn't expecting!

Gundamit pulls through! Such a gorgeous figure, any reservations I had about the sculpt and weapon sizes just fade away when seeing this big boy in person. The shelf presence is immaculate and I'm so glad I put down that 2 dollar deposit a year back, I'm sure prices for this guy are just gonna get uglier and uglier.

Now I'm off to find someone selling the deluxe Mondo one, I need these two displayed side by side.

Worst case, I was thinking of just embedding a chunky magnet directly into his forearm since sinking one into the gauntlet is looking to be a tricky strategy. It's not like I'd ever pose him without the gauntlet, given the absence of the burn scars anyway.

That's a pretty good idea! That's definitely something to consider now that you've mentioned it.

I still think you'd have to put a sizable magnet into the center "circle" of the opened shied for it to be strong enough to hold the connection

Onetoys did a great job with this. I really like it. My plan is to add weathering to him and magnetize the shield.

It does say sold out on the product page. My guess is Kit is expecting to have more and just kept the listing up.

Great pictures friends, this really is a stunning figure.
I really do hope Onetoys decide to make some of the other characters like Atreus, Freya, Thor, Odin.... etc.
It might take them a decade but honestly this figure proved more than worth the wait.

I am very curious if they'll approach and Atreus. Feels like a necessity, but I could only see if happening alongside a reissue of this figure. No one is going to buy Atreus without a Kratos. Plenty who have Kratos will buy though, but still ultimately less than whatever the total number of Kratoses sold is.

Only other character I would want is probably Freya. I understand the want for Atreus and Thor. They’d look pretty cool. Just don’t like them or their looks enough to want a figure of them

I can’t see a way to do that, at least not that cleanly and without having the chains attached. You’d just have to use blue tac or something to get that look

Just unboxed mine and honestly for me this is my figure of 2024 (and I also got the inart Batman and Superman). I am really impressed with the quality and the cloak also takes care of the visible arm joints.

The magnets are permanently attached to the shield and inside the forearm armor. Like I said, the magnet isn't coming off of the shield. It's on there. Its the connection between the magnet inside the forearm armor and the one attached to the shield that isn't strong enough.

But, I'm happy to see if you come up with something better, hopefully I could very well be doing something that's just not working out right.

I understand your struggle now. The plastic piece on his left gauntlet is pretty thick, too thick for a small magnet to build up a strong enough connection to hold the extended shield. Since I do not want to dremel the gauntlet, I will have to think about another solution. For now I have him displayed with the axe and without the shield, a look I am pretty happy with.

Honestly mate, im kind of there with you - the only one that comes close to beating this figure out to top spot for me is the Inart Harry Potter.
