The Christmas Eve thing is all well and good, but this game better have an "escort the 45-year old mother of 3 and her last minute canned ham back to safety" mission.

Nah it's help the weird screaming kid that hangs out with Michael Jackson get to his mom mission.

I'm just saying, there are generally a ton of last minute shoppers on Christmas Eve; you'd think there'd at least be a few.:lol

Suddenly, I'm imagining a frenzied boss battle with Bane in the middle of Wal-Mart with civilians screaming and scrambling in various directions as Batman gets thrown into a shelf full of potato chips.:lol

Got my collectors edition this morning! :D

The Batman/Joker statue is actually really nice in hand. A lot nicer than my quick pics show. Pretty weighty too...

Yeah, at first I was jealous of the US Collectors Edition since I thought that statue was much nicer, especially with the LED effects - but now I have this one in hand I actually prefer it. It's really dynamic plus it's got B'man himself!

:dunnoWas looking to pick up a game today! and saw Batman on the shelf. I was like? maybe they getting the box's ready for when it gets release. To my surprise the dam game was already out. I thought how WTF...huh so quick. Is this a good game or a flop?

Did anyone end up getting the season pass? I wanna know how the initiation challenge map is like before I buy the pass

Honestly, though; who makes a product without alotting any to stores? I've checked everywhere and they're all "sold out pre-orders." They couldn't even give retailers a few to put on the shelves?

Can someone confirm if this is 3d on the console version ?

anyone tried it ??

There's no 3D functionality, nor can you listen to your own Bat-tunes in game like City.

There's a lotta hype for this game that's for sure. I think people who are expecting this to be a quantum leap of City will be massively disappointed.

Ah thats slightly disappointing . Still in 2 minds as to weather to get this. Really gearing up for next gen and will sell my 360 an thought gta would be enough, which it is. But I do love these games.

7.8/10 IGN

hmmmmmm...

the weakest of all 3. I had that feeling.
IGN reporting major frame drops on PS3 and Xbox360. :(

It's not a bad game by any means, it's just the exact same game as AC with a different story. The story itself is really, really good. One could argue that it has the best story of all the Arkham games, and I'm a huge Paul Dini fanboy. (It certainly has a better story than Dark Knight Risies though). In my 12 hours completing the story, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

ohh I will play it but this should have being a dlc upgrade to AC.

when I saw that rocksteady was not coming back I knew this game would not be as good as the other ones.

Gamespot rating of 6/10 dam!! they keep getting worse.
ohh well going to play it to enjoy the story.

such a shame.

Adam Sessler said it's probably the best of the three. The general consensus is that they've perfected the combat, in terms of fluidity, written the best story of the three (which shocked me, as I find it hard to believe you can top Dini), and changed and added certain things, for the better.

After finding out about the
twist
I've cooled down a little. Digging deeper if you put aside the fact that this is the 3rd game in the franchise and look at them as individual ones, story-wise this one definitely holds the best story out of the three.

The following is exactly why I think this served the best story out of the three:
This literally presents one of the most idealized depictions of Joker and Bane, both working together as a deadly duo of sorts.

It literally combines animated series Joker's mannerisms/personality with "Killing Joke" Joker's Red Hood origin, all while giving him TDK Joker's motivations and character development (i.e. initially wanting to kill Batman and then later changing his mind to kick-start their neverending rivalry and his moral tests). On the other side, Bane's presence is literally treated with the same sort of notoriety and brooding menace (Batman implied that Bane already had some reputation as a deadly mercenary) as he was depicted early on in TDKR, but beyond that, his actual personality/look/portrayal here is the closest we've come to his original depiction in the comics (Knightfall arc particularly) which I'm honestly pleased with. He even gets like what, 2-4 boss fights? All of which depicts him in a glorious and scary way.

TLDR: It's basically animated Joker and comic Bane working as a great duo with plot concepts that mirror TDK and TDKR (taking the good parts of the latter of course).
