Can someone explain to me why they(movie studio) could use that logo on posters and advertisements but not on the suit itself? I understand the copyright issue but I just find it odd that they could use it in some scenarios and not others if that makes sense.

Artistic choice.

In the 80s, the symbols always had feet or extra scallops. Dark Knight Returns, the Killing Joke, etc.









The suit was developed before the poster was designed around the time filming was about to wrap.
