He was joking, there's no way it will be under 1500.

That is good news, Metallica sells etched pint glasses every couple of months. They are anywhere from $25-$50 depending on the item. They only make 100-200 though and they sell out LITERALLY within seconds of going on sale. On ebay I have seen them sell as high as $200. Those releases get really intense.

Same thing with certain Scotty Cameron golf accesories. They have product releases once a month and most items usually sell out within minutes.

I dunno, the comic fig is still available. Could dampen the hype for this one

Why would it dampen the hype? I think people have a higher preference for this one over the comic one. That one to me was an easy pass. I definitely am interested in the Keaton version.

I agree. Batman's popularity is so big it's transcended the realm of the comic book establishing himself as a pop cultural and cinematic icon!

I just mean that there is already an option out there if people want something Batman and 1/4 scale.

Keep in mind alot of people in my generation cut their teeth on Keaton's Batman. I actually liked Batman as a small child even before the '89 film, but still this movie was really responsible for launching the second coming of Batmania that still exists today.

Not sure if the comic version was an "easy" pass. I canceled my order months ago after all the delays. I still might try and get one down the road and probably will be able to pretty easily with the huge ES. But this with out a doubt the Batman PF I've been waiting to add to my collection.:yess:

I am 35 and I enjoyed watching the Adam West Batman when I was younger and have a high respect for that. I enjoy the comics Batman iterations that have come over the years, but for me the big one was always the Keaton Batman. I went ape over that to see this amazing more modern-day caped crusader come to life and it still remains a big place in my heart.

I love the Nolan Batman of The Dark Knight and what he did was great with that film. The biggest impact for me though was when I was hitting 11 years old and that film coming out was just the coolest thing I remember coming to the big screen since my love for Star Wars. Batman is my favorite superhero of all time and It's so hard to compare them for their generations in where they were introduced. In my adulthood now I think The Dark Knight was the best Batman film story, but Keaton Batman is sorta my sweet spot of nostalgic, yet still feels current (if that makes sense), almost timeless the way the suit exists. I also prefer statues from movies vs. comic style because I prefer the comics to stay in a more 2D flat fashion through drawings and other flat artwork using dynamic poses. Theatrical live-action I like in statues because they originated from very 3 dimensional creations and blend better into a movie room type theme setting for me to display.

It's personal preference really. No one's got a right or wrong answer to it since we all come from different walks of life and memories. I'm not going to knock on comic PF Batman because it is definitely cool and faithful to the comics, but for ME it's just not my thing.

I guess what I mean is a lot of people have their Batman fix already with the comic version you know?

Edit; I mean I'm 33, I'm in the Keaton gen well and truly, I'm getting both figs.

Keaton and Bale Premium Formats are going to be definite wins! An Adam West Premium Format would be big with a large group of people who are strictly '66 Batfans or just people like me who are overall Batfreaks of any era. Now if this just a Premium Format of a New 52 styled Batman, yeah alot of people would be like okay whatever....pass.
