Your all right, it IS barely recognizable. People that see this on my shelf are going to have to look multiple times, and play the guessing game with me to figure out who this is… bunch of fools lately around here. I've seen PF's on peoples shelves that are hard core collectors that don't look EXACTLY like the person playing the character but they still love the statue. Look at 75% of the LOTR human sculpts.. those look like *** compared to the actors but they still look good on the shelf and are recognizable to the character they played. Until Hot Toys started doing these amazing sculpts, every company from Sideshow to the custom crew had crap sculpts… I look back at some of the Indiana Jones and Star Wars figs and can't believe they sold 10 of them… but they are highly sought after now days. I'll see you guys on the other end of this when you are paying 6-800 for the EXclusive just like every other fig sold here. ***** one day, spend more then you needed to the next day. Thats the life of the Freaks around here lately.

This fig next to Reeve PF;

Pulitzer prize winning material.

Pulled over and parked after getting the kids from school to pre-order this... They totally approved of the pit-stop. :yess:

So will those dimensions fit a detolf with a shelf removed? I am guessing it is too wide. Which is actually awesome.

Look at the Sideshow banner at the top. Poor Batman is stuck smack dab in the middle of Marvel dudes.

And to everyone that thinks this fig is a flop, feel free to use the Bananas picture as the wallpaper on your cell phones so you see it multiple times a day as a reminder.

Looking at that banner again, it seems the image Dave used is a portrait shot that Sideshow didn't even use on their product page. I can't find the banner image to the left anywhere on their site. I know it's the same, but it actually looks better and more like Keaton/Batman to me. Odd.

Sarcasm noted.

But the bold part right there is why I'm gladly passing on this. I already own the best version of Keaton Batman in the Hot Toys figure. (Or as some here like to call it..."doll" :lol) Why would I pay more for a weaker likeness and fewer display options? Because it's bigger? Has more "presence"?

Of course even people who don't collect Batman, or don't even know much about pop-culture will recognize that this is supposed to be the '89 Keaton Batman. But for this kind of money, on this scale, it should be beyond "good enough" to wow the average Joe. You're right, Hot Toys (dolls) raised the bar for collectors--and specifically for 89 Bats collectors with the DX09; this PF is close but not quite there.
