What is your problem with the piece? I'm confused as to why you think this is "Sideshow's interpretation" of Batman?

He's looking for this interpretation of Bats to be made my SSC. Its comic accurate!

I'm a fan of Batman as drawn by the artists that draw him and have stories connected to them. Not a Sideshow creation of Batman. One that looks more alien than human no less. I want Kane, Mazzuchelli, Miller, Ross, Adams, Lee, etc, etc. If Marvel has artists lines DC Damn well better.

Love it but hate 2 things about it. The eyes are small. I get that he is squinting but the eyes need to be longer east to west. The head..... how much technology is crammed inside that cowl to give it that weird shape?

I'm not placing an order at this time. I may pick it up down the road if over time i realize i cannot live without it. My first impression of this piece is that it looks good, not great.

Don't like it. Really bizarre anatomy on that head.

I really hope this isn't a preview of things to come for Batman and Sideshow. I'm not interested in Sideshow interpretations of my favorite character.

I agree with you wofford. There is something ever-so-slightly strange about this sculpt. . Batman kicks ass, he's up there on my list but if i'm spending $700 it must a definitive representation...unfortunately this isn't MY Batman, it's Sideshows. It just looks a bit too stylized for me. It's not as stylized as Sideshow's Thor & Wolverine Beserker Rage 1:1 but it has that same type of feel. I was hoping for something similar to their Captain America 1:1 bust...that piece kicks ass.

I'm a huge Batman freak and I think it looks really cool but I don't collect busts and I'm not opening that pandora's box!
Love the white comic eyes though. Not sure if I love the sunken in cheeks though.
Still, kick ass piece.

Head shape looks a bit off to me somehow, as well. Looks better the more I look at it, but still looks a bit off. A nice bust, nonetheless.

as i mentioned, not my format, but i cannot stop thinking about it nevertheless. i think this may find a place with me. as a kid, Batman was my first true foray into the culture... what a great way to pay tribute to the character.

comparing a Life Size Bust based off a movie (which the mouth piece hardly looks like Bale IMO) to a Life Size Bust based off a comic rendition of the same character isn't a fair comparison.

Now if SS made a TDK LSB then comparing that to the HCG one would be fair

You can't even compare the 2. IMO, I would never spent $800 on the HCG version. It doesn't even look like Bale. $120 less and u get a better SSC statue.
