Does the base separate from the bust?? You are going to demand a replacement I am sure.

The base doesn't separate. It is all one piece.

If the resin (and polystone IS a type of resin,) was not mixed properly, it will leach for years. The surface will defy painting until the problem ceases.

Insist on a replacement - the piece you received is beyond defective.
