Took pictures of the head sculpt!

For me, whether I am correct or not, I just think the paint application on the portrait is lazy. This pic exemplifies what I think. It looks like they just took the airbrush filled with black, and painted a horizontal stroke right across the bottom of the face to replicate the 5 o'clock shadow. Clearly the light here (being camera right and above the statue) is confounding it, but I just cannot understand why the portrait paint is so mediocre, when the paint on the suit looks very well done.

I will cancel mine today and will stick it out for Armoured Bats.

How did they manage to paint the rest of the statue so well but screw up the paint app on the face so bad? The "stubble shading" looks terrible.

After reviewing the prototype photos, I'm kind of excited again to have this in hand -- but I'll probably do some repainting. As per the pictures so far, the transparency of the black paint around the eyes is lost. I love the proto shows that it's black paint over flesh skin.

The body and rest of the figure is looking good, but I'm not digging the scratches on the bat-emblem on his chest -- to me they look like bodycount tally scars on Zsasz's skin. Reminds me of how poorly done the scratches on Arkham Asylum Batman PF's forearm and shin armors are also done -- very unnatural looking. Again with less than 2k units -- Sideshow and the factory could have taken their time and released this on schedule instead of having it rushed and bumped ahead.

Yea I don't know why this was rushed either. If I end up keeping mine I'll need to track down Bale Bats at a decent price.

I am feeling pretty disappointed with this. The prototype was fantastic, and seeing the final has really dampened my enthusiasm for this and armored Bats. The had such a fantastic head sculpt, it's a shame they rushed it and ended up with this.

When it comes to Sideshow movie pieces it's a rarity that we get a piece that looks anything like the prototype. Heck any comic or movie piece actually.

I've only been collecting from Sideshow for about 3 years now, and during that time I've learnt to just roll these assumptions into any piece I preorder.

Im still on the fence with BvS Batman...I recently saw a picture of Prime 1's Batman and that looks exactly like Affleck, now can I compare a $2000+ statue to a $500? Probably not, but Sideshow's Batman seems off...he looks like Batman, but not Affleck, not even in the same field. I feel so cheated, Sideshow has become a roll of the dice, with us laying down NRD money as a bet and I truly hate ordering until I see in hand pieces. Now cancelling means I lose $50, ****ing crap I hate those NRD's....I think Im going to cancel and order Captain Marvel instead.

I just hope that Pfeiffer Catwoman and Armored Batman come out looking like there prototypes, because Im not going to spend $$$ on something that fares them...

You don't lose the NRD for changes in product description and/or dates.
