Maybe the Hot Toys body, as found on Vasquez and Ripley?

Well, I'm still hoping to see the Triad EVA body. That's what I'm planning on using, but it remains to be seen when it will come out.

I'd love to use the Triad Eva body as well but its a matter of when will they actually come out. Werent they originally supose to be out in December? Then it was later early 07 which was rumored to be April I think now its July?

Starbuck is a great choice for series two. But I have another suggestion. Now, I wasn't that big a fan of this character before season 3 but now he's the second most interesting character (after Baltar), IMO. This might change after the cliffhanger is resolved but for now I'm really liking this guy:

about the the flightsuit

the fabric

you can look at my post here to read about the 1:1 scale drama for fabric for the flight suits. here's the update. there is a new group buy for the fabric that is used for the on screen flightsuits with the price being $44 a yard plus shipping with a minimum of 5 yards for the green and the copper colored materials. there is also another group buy for an alternate fabric, which is very similar to the screen fabric while cutting down on the crazy gold shine you see in some shots. this is running $25-30 a yard plus shipping with a minimum of 5 yards. this is the thing. the screen used fabric appears to be thinner. allot thinner and better for 1/6 costuming. you can see the difference here. either way it's 5 yards x 54" (the width of the roll) = 9720 square inches of fabric = WAY too much for my 1/6 scale needs. if anyone is interested in ordering some if these fabrics, let me know and we can spilt the fabric to cut down on costs.

the accessories

items like the shoes and gun could, like the head, be custom sculpted. the biggest problem would be find someone who sculpts shoes but still it's do-able. the helmet is a horse of a different color. most custom heads/accessories tend to be made out of resin. that probable wouldn't work as a helmet material. what to do? don't ask me, I came up with the fabric.

Alright guys! Just finished talking to Sunohc... we are in business. I am going to gather pics for him and get the ball rolling on Baltar first, as he will be easier for him to do first. The quoted price has changed a little bit due to the longer hair (might require two molds), so the price for Baltar is going to be $34 shipped.

We will start gathering funds directly to his Paypal at [email protected] and once he gets going on Six we will gather those and I will be sure to inform you all. Any and all updates will be posted here and I will keep you all in the loop.

You won't regret this though, it's going to look fantastic when it's done. One thing I will need from you all is to try and find me some really good pictures of Six, especially one that might have a facial expression that we really want for the sculpt.

Baltar is all ready to go, but if you have any nice pics of the scruffy President version... feel free to share. We need all the help we can get on this.

Thanks guys.... :rock

I got lots of BSG pics on my PC at home. I will post some of Six when I get home, if they haven't already been posted.

This is going to be sweet!

I realize that Sunohc needs to see Baltar from all angles, but I think this is the pose to capture.

I totally agree with you on that first shot GDB!! That is the exact facial expression I asked for...:rock I gave him that shot and said... that's the Baltar I want. Thanks for the extra shots, I know he will be very appreciative.

OK, here's some pics of Six. I can post more and different angles later, but this is all I had time for right now.

This is the look she should have, in my opinion. It is classic Six.

payment sent!! -- love the baltar expression darkartist suggested -- gets my vote! also would definitely be on board for a starbuck, tigh, apollo. . . :monkey5

Here's a sneak peak at what I need the Starbuck head for (this is still a work in progress. The biggest difference between this and the screen used ones is that the tank top is kind of brownish and I couldn't find a brown on in 1/6):

So just to be clear, we send a paypal payment to [email protected] for $34 for Baltar now, and then a different payment for Six later?

Yes, BS... you are correct! That's how it's going down. I'm gonna send him another email tomorrow updating him on the progress and giving him the pics.

And Dboz!! Nice work!! You will have to share with me some of what you did there.... that's amazing... especially the little patch and dog tags.

The patch was custom embroidered by Dave at www.patchhut.com. I sent him a picture and he did them up. $4 a pair. Very reasonable. I tried printed patches, which yield better detail, but I just don't like the way they look. They look like a picture printed on fabric as opposed to a patch. With the embroidered ones, you lose some detail, but I like the overall effect. You can still tell what it is supposed to be and it looks like a real patch.

The dog tags are just small pieces of brass that I cut out in a hexagon shape and drilled a hole in for the chain, which I bought at Michaels Craft Store.

The pants are from BBI Scar and I modified the belt loops to look more like the screen versions.

The shirt is an OD tank top over a Saturday Toys gray muscle shirt. Looks pretty good even if it is not the right color. The biggest problem is that they both were made for male figures, so they are kind of big on the female body. Same goes for the pants, but that doesn't bother me much because if you watch the series, Starbuck usually wears her pans kinda low anyway.

I'm still working on the BDU jacket. I'm not sure what I want to use for the shoulder patches. I have a couple ideas, but I haven't decided on which material to use yet. When I do, I will post pics of the jacket.

The final piece that I want to add is a belt with holster and a sidearm. This is a major challenge as no one makes a 1/6 scale FN FiveseveN and the earlier model they used in the show is pretty complicated. I started attempting to scratch build one, but kind of petered out. I will probably go back to it someday, but I haven't felt like it for a while.

Anyway, hope that helps.

Cool! Just be sure to put your Freaks screen name in the comments when you pay... or PM Sunohc to let him know if you have already and didn't do that.

I'll get the images to him ASAP!
