Wow, alot of football minds here. I predict a 10 plus win season.

We now have a solid oline with Pace and a healthy Williams. Forte looks to be an above average RB. Greg Olson and Desmond Clark are solid complimenting TE's. Our one problem area is of course wide, but the Bears are no 10 times more attractive to veteran free agents like Holt. Hester would be a solid 2, and maybe Earl Bennett will finally get some playing time(he was Cutlers teammate at Vandy)

As for Cutler, he had over 4500 yards and 25 TD's last season...to say that he is an slight upgrade is an understatement.

New home Chicago: Broncos ship disgruntled QB Cutler to Bears

...the Broncos will receive first-round draft picks this year and in 2010, a third-round pick (84th overall) this year and quarterback Kyle Orton in exchange for Cutler and a 2009 fifth-round selection.

I think the Bears got robbed. Big Baby Cutler = EPIC FAIL.

Good Luck, Chicago.

I would be pissed if my coach got fired, then found out I was being shopped around by the new folks in charge. The whole big baby thing is blown out of proportion. Bottom line is that Jerry Angelo hates first round picks...he has had bad luck with them, and he usually trades them. I think that the trade is very fair for both sides. Franchise quarterbacks don't come along very often, and in the case of the Bears, they never come along.

I am a Broncos fan, I can tell you what you're getting.

He is an undeniable TALENT. He is incredible. His record with the Broncos is mediocre because he played on a team that gives up 24 points a game.

JOE FREAKING MONTANA would have a bad record under those circumstances.

That said, Cutler is a whiney brat and I would have told you that 8 months ago. He pouts on the bench and is a loner. He does not get along well with players necessarily. He is absolutely not "Captain" material. You'll see, the "big baby" label is not overstated. You'll see one week 1 how he has very negative aura on the sidelines. Its not even a anger thing that you can call "passion". He simply looks like a depressed emo kid on the sidelines.

So be warned about that. Otherwise, you got a top 5 or 10 QB in the league.

I will say I like the return we are getting. 2 first rounds and a three plus a QB to compete for starting role.

Yeah, I don't know. Coming out today and saying that he never wanted to leave to begin with, blaming everyone else. . .that's about as big a load of crap as I have heard.

I enjoyed watching him play in the last couple years, but Cutler seems like Orton and Grossman in the sense that he is a high risk/high reward kind of QB. I've seen him make a lot of bad decisions. He does have an amazing arm, though.

Being a fan of NFC rival Saints, I just hope that he, and the Bears, fail all the way around. Screw you, Bears :)

Here's a picture Darth Snoopy posted in December in the NFL thread and if you look, I responded back then that its an every week issue with Jay.

Have fun Bears fans!

Yeah, Orlando Pace was good like 8 years ago. Come down on that.

Cutler is a crybaby, and I am glad the Redskins didn't sell the farm the way the Bears did for him.

Cutler is the man! I was born in chicago and live in Denver and this is the best news I've had as a Bears fan since 85. All this yapping about he's baby and blah blah blah. Fact of the matter to all these "football" minds is this. He is 13-1 as a starter when the broncos held opponents to under 22 points and he has a better record than Manning, Brady and even the mighty Elway when their defense gives up over 22. They may not have any so called great WR, but neither did brady in his first 2 superbowls. I"m not saying the Bears are going to the Super Bowl this year but they will soon enough. Cutler can sit on the sideline with a pacifier in his mouth for all I care as long as he's putting up 4500+ yards and 25 + tds. Packers fans and Vikings fans are ^^^^ting theri pants right about now! GO BEARS!!!!!

There is your problem, Cutler is no Manning, Elway or Brady. He is good but not great. How many games has Cutler won in the playoffs...oh yeah he wasn't been able to carry Denver to the playoffs on his shoulders. :lol

On the field I don't think its that fair to label Cutler as the problem, however, he was never a leader off the field and often was a negative force by sitting by him self on the sidelines pouting, and who knows really how much impact that translates to Wins or Losses.

I think this is probably a good trade both ways.
The Bears need to address other offensive positions to make anything out of this.
The Broncos need to address defense. I hope they do not use a first rounder on a QB. I hope they wait till next year and get Colt McCoy with a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
