this show is starting to turn into one of my favorite shows and I'm glad that the episodes are starting to show some of the behind the scene works of the liquidating of the entire SWS collection through Profiles in history, but we also get to see a small look into Legacy. I'm hoping we get to see some of the behind the scene stuff regarding the auctioning off of some of the larger SWS props. Its hard to get a sense of the exact time frame of this episode, but it sounds like it is shortly after Stans passing; thus, why Legacy starts to get rid of some of Stans stuff in this episode. Anyways...........I found this episode very interesting, and look forward to future episodes regarding the old SWS collection. If they do air those pieces, I will post those episodes here cause I know many were very upset that Legacy got rid of Stans collection and it shows us how it all goes down.

I actually thought that was very cool of them. And it went toward the school which is something, if Stan was still here, I could see him doing too.

i dont think most ppl knew about it going to the Winston school though. I didnt even find out until i saw this episode. I saw that Joe, the guy that created Profiles actually has a Endo from Winston himself in his collection too. Seeing how these guys have a random life size T600 in the school warehouse just sitting around made me :horror

It's not their business anyway though. Stan's kid is a good man. You saw that we was careful to state what would and wouldn't be given away and for what reason. SWS is in good hands. BTW, the info is available on the auction house's website if anyone's ever curious what's being given away and for what cause, if any.

whats not their business? the school? I just remember when news got around that all of the SWS legendary props were being auctioned off, we all assumed it was just the Winston family being hella greedy, but turns out, it was going to a good cause and some of the items even went towards charity. I always thought all that stuff should have gone to a museum of some sort, and some probably have, but now i think its great that it goes to such a great art school with the Winston name on it.

That's what's not anybody's business. Truth be told, these things will last a lot longer and be better taken care of going to private collectors who fork out the obscene amount of cash for them. Plus, being in the hands of collectors will keep them from getting gutted and cannibalized for parts for other movies (as was the case with the one Raptor head). And yeah, it's a great cause. Again, I think if Stan were still here, he would've actually probably handed over one of the ones his kid didn't let go, to support the school. Besides, even if they sold off everything, there will always be the great (and some not so great) films to reinforce his legacy.

The new season of hollywood treasure kicked off with a episode of the Endo below. The episode isn't on their site yet, but I posted a youtube video below. I also found a site that has records of previous SWS pieces that sold at auction if anyone is curious. There's a ton of it.

This is the last SW T-800 used in T2. Sold for $180k

I've seen all these. It would really be nice to have the $ to collect some of those things.
Makes me wonder why some of the rich guys on these forums use their money buying replicas and little statues. If I had the $ some of them do, I'd buy mostly all original movie props and just a few statues.

yea man, I agree. If I had their money, I'd prolly buy mostly the movie used stuff, but damn, imagine how many Sideshow Endos you could get for $180k? You can literally have an army of them, so that's the kind of stuff you have to take into consideration. Even if I was that rich, I would prolly just want stuff like the original movie maquette's. I really don't have any interest in 20+ year old latex pieces either.

I'm surprised the T-800 sold for so little, and that the T-600 sold for so much :D

I believe the original P1 piece they had in the studio only sold for like $60k, so that Endo is actually one of the highest priced pieces I have ever seen sell from SWS. What really kicked up the price on the T800 and T600 was that they actually appeared in the movies and could be singled out on screen. I'm sure that the T800 being the last one available for sale helped too. I have the T600 bust, so I could imagine just how bad ass a full size T600 would look like in person. Very underrated piece imo.

for whatever reason, the embed videos on the first page don't work anymore, but here is one of those cool videos.

I would have loved to have gotten one of those endo skulls... I figured they would have gone for a lot more than $4000 each though.

I know what you mean but my philosophy of collecting is "Less is more". I would rather have one magnificent piece that means a lot to me than an army of things that are just really cool.
That's one reason why I am selling off most of my collection to fund my "grail" hunt.
