Cancel an order with Amiami like that and you'll be blacklisted, just saying. They're not BBTS, they're very strict. If you have a good reason then email them and talk it out at least.

Ah nice, how bad was your shipping? lol.

Re: Berserk Collectibles Show Us Some Berserk

Nice! That's not bad at all. Damn, makes me wish I hadn't bought all of those model kits now. Haha.

I hope they do Griffith.

Haha, yeah I know.. Guts is surely a one and done deal. Honestly, I'm glad that they did BoTH Guts, because most merch is his Black Swordsman look. Right? Plus most of use have Amnur's Guts head for an eventual custom.

I would love to see someone take do a closed eye version of this Medicom head, and his cannon arm.

Medicom did another Guts?

Re: Berserk Collectibles Show Us Some Berserk

No. I'm just saying that so many Guts items, statues, figures, etc focus on his Black Swordsman appearance and less on BotH.

Re: Berserk Collectibles Show Us Some Berserk

slightly off topic, just re-watched Golden Age Arc III: Descent, man the ending to that is soooo disturbing. it was pretty hard to watch some of those scenes. i honestly don't understand why they had to go that route like that. i seriously enjoyed all the first 2 parts till they went there. still love this series, but just don't get why they went so demented at the end.

That was in the manga too its a new beginning for the series its brutal but it works.

Re: Berserk Collectibles Show Us Some Berserk

Berserk is a very brutal story, there's no other way to put it. It works because the time period it takes place in, the Dark Ages. I'm sure most of are not fans of it because of the gross aspects, but rather, that it is a no-holds bare story that feels like it's straight out of history. The beautiful thing about Berserk is it's not just shock value, it's an incredible story that uses those elements to enhance the story. It's disgusting at times, and it doesn't get any less disgusting as you go, but it's part of what makes the story so powerful. As you follow the story, you see how Guts and the world changes, and it's very interesting.

I agree. While it can be disgusting and dark at times I've never found it off-putting. It's not a part of the story just to be there, it has a point. Guts' world becomes a terrible place and only someone like him can survive there.

Re: Berserk Collectibles Show Us Some Berserk

I let this go, and had ordered when there was a sale on at HLJ...
Was to go with Link, but no sign of Link.

I remember the first arc the book the Black Swordman arc i had to put the book down a few times it was disturbing.

Oh man, you should read the manga. So much better and you're missing out on a lot of character development. You really feel for Guts' comrades in Hawks.

I would say that the original anime series did a good job of this too. You got a much better feel for the supporting characters.

Agreed wholeheartedly.

Berserk is hands down my favorite manga...ever. The character development, detailed story, artwork, man I just love everything about it. It may be graphic or disturbing for some, but those elements just make the world and story that more real. Its just a dangerous place. And if the "Eclipse" wasn't clear enough...everyone, including the heroes are at risk. You just know things will NOT end well.

The sheer brilliance of the "Golden Age" is that you fell in love with everyone and it beautifully illustrates why Guts became borderline psycho. Miura has taken the concept of "do not fall in love with your characters" to a whole different level.

That being said, I just wish Miura wasn't such an @$$ with the rate of release. This damned manga started in the 80s...as much as I love the story, I do want to see it end.
