I hate skullnight.net. Every time I ever tried to start a conversation, or ask about anything I didn't understand, responses were downright terrible. "We've already talked about it" "use the search the button" "stupid noob question" "stop wasting our time"... Just absolute a'holes that troll with all their replies

I wish that Miura started the manga from the beginning with the golden age, but I still really like the way he started it. The Blackswordsman arc is Berserk in a nut-shell. Dark, gritty, brutal, dramatic, and emotional. If you can't handle that arc then you can't handle Berserk. In a way, I felt like that arc was one of the hardest if not the hardest arc for me to get through when reading, maybe because I wasn't used to the manga yet, but it was brutal and took no prisoners. I remember it feeling like Puck was the only single ray of sunshine back in those black chapters.
Their was some truly amazing character development in those chapters, I really felt for the Count and his daughter during some parts. And the ruthlessness and ferocity of Guts' actions truly make you wonder what happened to him to make him this way.
I had already seen both the '97 anime and the Golden age movies before reading the manga and my friend who introduced me to it told me during it that Griffith turns into a ****ed up piece of ****. But even having that spoiled during the anime didn't matter, because it was seeing how it played out, and even with it spoiled, I had no idea, and wasn't prepared in the least for the eclipse. And that sense of wonder, for how did Guts become this way, and what happened to him makes the Black Swordsman arc a great introduction to Berserk.

Only been on skullknight.net a few times as a lurker. Seems like a good place for deep discussions and such but I frown upon any kind of snobbery and elitism - especially in anime/manga where communities can be pure cancer. Naruto Forums is full of elitist **** heads as well and even YouTube has some elitist anime pricks.

I hate them as much as Snake hates Markiplier. :lol

I remember when I first went there... I guess I committed high treason by calling them chapters when the "real" fans call them "episodes." I got dog piled by those **** heads for saying that. The reddit page is the same thing, and they all kiss that Walter's ass. **** him, and **** his forum.

Gees even if I was curious, I wouldn't make an account there. They sound like legit *******s. This thread may only have a few of us in it, but it's not toxic. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Much bleh.. Feb is already packed with games too. I had a feeling they wouldn't hit 2016. They would've announced it by now. And it's not even to work on the game more, it's for localization. The game is essentially done. Sigh..

Bad news. English version of the game isn't coming until February... I want to die...

That's really disappointing. I'm not completely surprised, but I was hopeful it would get a US release before Christmas. I can't wait to play it. I've played several other games like it such as Dragon Quest Heroes and Hyrule Heroes. Both of those games were fun in my opinion. The One Piece game like it isn't bad either. The Berserk game looks like it will be even better than any of those though.

I'm in the same spot man. I just ordered TZ Guts. I was finally convinced that it's superior to the RAH version.

I actually just bought the RAH Black Swordsman Guts. I was originally convinced that the Threezero version would be better, but after watching some reviews and doing a little photo searching I came to the conclusion that the RAH Guts would be better for dynamic poses and the faces he comes with. The armor and the look of the arms were really the only things I liked more about the Threezero Guts, but both of those were just the way they looked and not their function. My only real complaint with the RAH version is that the false arm doesn't rotate on the "metal looking" part. It makes it a little hard to achieve some two handed poses with the sword. Everything else is fantastic except the screw hole covers in the arm, but the way I have him posed right now you can't even see those. I still wish I could afford to get the Threezero Guts too, if for no other reason than to compare the two in person and sell off the one I liked the least. That seems like a waste ofr $220 though and I can't really afford it anyway since Knightmare Batman is going to be shipping from Sideshow soon (if the Internet is to be believed).

Here's the pose I have for him in my detolf. I wasn't sure about this pose at first, but when I sat back on the couch I thought it looked really awesome. Now I can't stop looking over at him from time to time.

Thanks for the response fett! I'm not denying at all that the RAH version looks fantastic and more specifically, if what you're going for is dynamic poses and facial expressions then I would say RAH IS superior.

For me though, I just love the way the worn armor and blood look on the TZ version, along with the more muscular arms. I'm also a fan of the real looking hand wrap on his right hand as opposed to the plastic molded hand wrap. Sure, I won't be able to have as dynamic poses with the TZ version, but I will love the way it looks and that's what the deciding factor for me was. They certainly both have their pros and cons. Still a shame the inflames version hasn't gone anywhere yet.

Yeah the RAH looks really good the way Fett posed it. I really like the way he posed the cape. That must've been difficult with the wire lol. For me, I prefer static poses, so the limited arm articulation of the TZ didn't bother me. Regardless of maker, more Berserk 1/6 is a good thing. Damn I'm so excited to get a Guts figure!

Who do you guys think will make Femto first? Medicom or TZ?

Yeah, the Threezero version is probably your best bet if you really like the look of their armor and hand wraps. I have a Threezero Raphael, and the real wrappings on him are pretty nice. I'd like to see the figure in person to see how the wraps look on the smaller hands of Guts. I can imagine them either looking really good like Raphael, or looking too bulky on smaller hands. But Threezero does a great job with mixed media costumes and parts for their figures. Threezero is doing great work this past year. I have Raphael and Getter Robo Black by them, and both figures are really nice in-hand. So I imagine their Guts will look good in person too. Like I said, I wish I could afford him on top of the Guts I already have so I could compare them in person. I'd probably end up keeping both.

The thing that really sold the RAH version for me was the faces and the fact that you can also have no pupil for the rage face. I know it sounds a little silly to make that the point that tipped the RAH version into my purchase choice (that and the poseability like I mentioned in my last post). The faces, especially the rage face, on the Threezero Guts don't look quite right to me. Most people seem to like the normal face more than the rage face on the Threezero Guts, but I'm the opposite on that opinion. I don't really like the rage face much on the Threezero version, but I find it better than the normal one for some reason. Anyway, for the most part I'm happy with the RAH Guts overall, but the head is my favorite part probably. He does look a little more "toy" like when you get up close and study him, compared to say a Hot Toys figure which looks more like a real person. Originally I looked at that as a negative point when comparing the two figures online. Now I am fine with it because his look captures an animated character in my opinion. Medicom does a pretty decent job of capturing the look of an anime character with their RAH line. When looking at Guts from my couch, he looks no more "toy" like than any of my other 1/6 scale figures. The details on him a really nice.

Now if Inflames releases their figure, I'll probably have to own it as well. It looks superior to both Medicom and Threezero. I don't know anything about the final product quality from Inflames, but the prototype looks fabulous.

Thanks! The wire wasn't too difficult to work with really. It seems to hold a pose well. I started out by making small adjustments at various points. It sort of evolved over the course of 3 or 4 different poses for the rest of the figure.

I don't know if Medicom will make any figures besides Guts. The Band of the Hawk Guts was the only figure they made from the Golden Age Arc. Then they made another Guts figure, the Black Swordsman. So I'm guessing if anyone makes a Femto, it will be Threezero. I could see them keeping the line going as long as it sells well (I think it is selling well).

Urg - can't make up my mind on whether to get threezero Guts and skull knight. I only have historical 1/6s but really like those two. They just would not fit in with a historical collection.

The best advice I can give you is buy what you like and what you want. It's your collection, and nobody can tell you what to buy. If that's Berserk, then go for it. It is the reason why my collection is Star Wars, MGS, The Dark Knight, and now Berserk. There's a lot out there in the market now, but not everything belongs in your collection. If you don't think Berserk fits your display, then make a small Berserk only display away from your historical stuff. Or you can put Berserk in there with the historical and say the eclipse really did happen about 400-500 years ago... :lol

If you're not getting Skull Knight, I would say go for the Medicom. Ugly screw holes or not, I think it's better since it's got a much better sculpt and not the boring cadaver face the Threezero version.

Season 2 of Clang just got announced for spring 2017. I hope they make it longer than 12 episodes this time.

That's a pretty good way to look at it. I may still get Skull Knight at some point even without the Threezero Guts though. I'm undecided if I want to get Skull Knight or not. I can't afford him until I sell some stuff. So I may just end up passing on him and save up for the inevitable Hot Toys figure that I can't live without down the line.

I gave up after 4 episodes.

It's funny because episode 5 is where it becomes watchable and episode 8 is where it becomes good. The last few eps have been really enjoyable and they turned down the CG a lot. It looks more like an anime now and not a naruto ninja storm game. I'm glad we're getting season 2. I want to see the Millenium Arc. Just please don't mess it up again.

I'd bet my house that HT never does Berserk, ever.
