They dont get better than the prototypes at Sideshow, if anything they go down hill after the curtain comes up.
What did you expect it to look like?

Guess I am just tired of the "content", "stoned" or "dreamy" expression on luke. Granted, mark hamill is not a great actor, but he didn't have a static facial expression thru out the trilogy. And IMO ESB is the movie where luke has grow themost as a character. There are so many other expression that would fit a ESB luke better. Not to mention the hand in the pic is horrible for holding his gun...

Looks great to me. Even though that shot makes it look like his pants are on backwards, but I think that's due to the typical Sideshow body underneath.Looks good... GREAT OUTFIT DETAIL...

the hand is probably the "saber gripping hand".
and good point on the facial expression. i like the sculpt, but wouldn't it be great if sideshow produced figures with extra expression heads?
how cool would it be to have this sculpt, an angry duel with vader sculpt and a beaten, bruised and bloody sculpt?
I might pre-order 17th Version of Luke™ here at SDCC if he has a really cool Exclusive item.

I'm actually super-glad they didn't weather the outfit. I prefer my Star Wars figures looking rather clean. Thank goodness.

if sideshow were smart, they would make the exclusive battle damaged with an exclusive, "i'll never join you" and ""don't make me destroy you" expression heads. and the regular version clean with a neutral expression.

The hands are still way to big for him. The boots are horrid as well, too big and clunky. Why not just give us some natural loose pleatherish ones with seperate belts??

This is the luke I have wanted for a long time I'm glad were getting him and yet at the same time I will be a little disapointed that we got another Luke anouncment this year instead of Vader or something else cool. But none of that takes away from this being a great looking figure. I cant wait to own it.
Why? If it was weathered you wouldn't be able to create an accurate diorama of this scene:
Seriously though it might have bothered me more if there weren't actual scenes where his fatigures are clean in the movie. His clothes aren't weathered during his first few scenes with Yoda.

Always loved that scene. If the final product has weathering I'll be pleasantly surprised but I'm still in no way dissatisfied with the version SS is showing right now. In fact, and this is the figure I was going to be the *most* picky about, I'd say its darn near perfect.

Oh man, this is THE Luke 12" announcement I've been waiting for...I think it looks GREAT! A little 'water treatment' to tighten up the costume...and a little weathering and it'll be MINT! I'm definitetly getting 2. One to duel Vader in Besping, One to stand with Han et al on the 'Rebel Heroes' shelf!
WOW, this announcement, and the 1/6 hobbits AND the Indy Jones license for 1/6 and 1/4 from all 4 films...Best SDCC YET!
