Best 12" bodies

I have been out of the customizing figures for a while. What is the best body to get for customs now?

The True Type narrow shoulder is very popular right now, but very expensive since it's sold out everywhere. People are also using the TTL body as a cheaper alternative to the True Type. I guess it depends on your project.

TTls are second best to TrueType. A decent alternative for sure but nothing beats Hot Toys Truetypes and all their variations slim slim African American and female

Plus parted out hot toys bodies are great, ones from Goamon have darker skin or solid necks, biohazzards or resident evil have sculpted forarms or muscular builds... Wolverine/ comedian are amazing bodies leonidas looks to be the most amazing thing ever.

it's really Hot Toys, TtL or nothing. Every single other body is crap honestly.

Depending on the application, I like the Soldier Story S2 body a lot. They have a solid neck and a really nicely detailed torso. Very good for open shirts or low necked shirts. Good articulation and very solid too.

The TTL's that match the TrueType Causcasian are the TTL "Brown" or "tan" versions. Almost an exact match in skin tone.

The "caucasian" TTL do look quite pale though, that is true.

^ Good to know! I haven't bought any since the first one I got. Another problem I have with the TTL is that the shoulders are very square and can result in giraffe-neck syndrome depending on the clothes that figure will be wearing.

Here's a side-by-side of a regular True Type next to a TTL 1.0:

I have since gotten a True Type for that figure on the right and it looks so much better. But the TTL is on my Arkham Joker and looks just fine. It just takes trial and error sometimes I guess.
