Being new to 1/6 figure collecting what is hands down the BEST one to buy?
Gary:joy

Sideshow, eh? Well I have the Hasbro one- LOL it is pretty good for twenty bucks- one redeeming feature IS the voice phrases!
What is a good price for the Sideshow Indy before I hit the Bay...?
Gary

Sideshow. End of story. The fat lady has sung! I would get it from Sideshow directly, rather than spending an extra $10-15 on eBay and having to deal with the jag-offs there.

If you want a really good Indy, buy the Sideshow one and also buy a Hot Toys TrueType body, then swap the clothes and head onto the Truetype, because the Sideshow body has very loose joints and just isn't as imposing physically. However, the Sideshow shoes won't fit onto your Truetype so just use the Hasbro ones, which are actually pretty good for the price.

 Yes they do. Heat them up, pull the Prometheus pegs out and pop the HotToys foot pegs in. Then just pop the shoes onto the TrueType. They fit like they were made by HT.

Really? Thanks for this Nam, I'll try it. When it goes wrong, I'll post here again asking if anyone's got any pictures.

It does work but you really need to heat them up. I was able to do it just using my fingers. Although two of my three Indys sport Newline boots.

The best 1:6 Indy overall is definitely Sideshow's, but it'll end up costing around the same as Medicom's ($150).

1. Get the Sideshow base figure ($90)

2. Swap out the body for a Hot Toys TrueType (+ $30)

3. Have someone repaint the head (about $30) to bring out the Harrison Ford likeness in the sculpt, which is absolutely the best around but is unfortunately muddled by the factory paint apps.

I did it myself as well and it works great.

Getting the HT plugs out of his shoes should you need to put him back on the PRO is a real ***** however.
