Was that rumor ever confirmed either way? :huh :rotfl

It was real, but was apparently canned a while back (even before other companies started canceling their INDY products). Word was it involved some kind of politics between Medicom, Lucasfilm and Tomy/Takara... but who knows.

A damn shame. I wonder what the Indy scene will look like a year from now. :(

Yeah, I'd say nonexistent, with the exception of the occasional Sideshow or Lego product.

I finally broke down and bought the 12" Sideshow Indy. I've been undecided about him from the get-go, but some of the photos being posted here, sans custom work, have really put the figure in a nice light. The customs are great too, but I'm a "take out of the box and display as is" person.

The best 1:6 Indy overall is definitely Sideshow's, but it'll end up costing around the same as Medicom's ($150).

1. Get the Sideshow base figure ($90)

2. Swap out the body for a Hot Toys TrueType (+ $30)

3. Have someone repaint the head (about $30) to bring out the Harrison Ford likeness in the sculpt, which is absolutely the best around but is unfortunately muddled by the factory paint apps.

Oh you don't have to do that to enjoy this figure or it to be damn nice. I've got my factory one that looks awesome as is.

Yeah, but it can look SO much better (and bring out the perfect likeness in the sculpt) with a repaint and also not be so floppy on a TT body. :D

Everything can look better if you repaint it and that person has hours they can spend on it, but I don't think thats needed either. As far as the TT that doesn't improve it any. As I've said before the body on my Indy and what will be Map room Indy are both quite tight. The Indy I have coming from Pix the body he says is quite tight and as is the body I sent to Josh for the Indy he's working on.

See, I dunno. I'd say you're one of the few lucky then. The heavy hatted headsculpt kept making mine do the drunken nod and the narrow shoulders are what finally made me convert mine to the TT.

That said though, he is the best Indy figure and a great value right out of the box. Doing Irish's suggestions makes him the ultimate 1:6 Indy period.

Maybe I am lucky with that. Just haven't had the issues with them that others have. If I had I'd be griping about it.
