BEST DECKARD FIGURE EVER thanx to kind eBayers!

My only criticism might be that it looks a little bit like he's wearing eyeshadow in the pic on the right, but it might just be the lighting.

Eyes are hard to do........I paint the eyeball with a mixture to make grey, then I add burnt umber for the base, then light green(depending on your eye color) over the IRIS leaving an outer rim, then I add a light wash of raw umber to give the IRIS texture, then I drop the PUPIL with a sharpie.

That is more or less how I do it..........And as a rule of thumb, the iris size should be at half the size of the eye.For example, if the eyes were to move to the side, it should cover at least half of the eye.

BTW.......I have an Android 001 figure I might get rid of(mint, just missing the sneakers).......I'll let you know guys know if I can't use it(I just have time anymore to get to all my projects)

DECKARD'S SNEAKERS

If you want that finishing touch to your custom Deckard figure, I found these 1/6 scale sneakers online(I painted them with black shoe dye) I think these are as close as you are going to get to the REAL thing(for this scale), right down to the ventilation hole patterns down the side........

Thanks for the heads up mindbook, as well as the eye painting tips - that's basically how I paint mine as well. Those shoes look nice, but $40 shipped to the states is a bit much for me.

Maybe another possibilty for the shoes are the sneakers from Sideshows OZ (the regular verison).

Whoa, I didn't know that about the shipping....I only referred the link because this is the only photograph I could find of the sneakers, I did not realize it was shipping from Japan.I saw them online, and walked into the store in Los Angeles, I assumed the shipping would be somewhere in the US/Los Angeles area, since there seems to be a store/warehouse here. I didn't even notice the Japanese currency next to it on the website until now(duh!), I guess I was just fixated ONLY on the sneakers.Here's their email address to inquire about the SS17 sneakers.

hope i'm not too late. haven't read all this thread but which Deckard figure would be best to buy to put Spens's head on? Android Hunter ver 1 2 or 3? or even a different fig. did i hear that Sovereign was thinking of making clothes for Deck?
