I know last year 1/2 of you freaks could not help but list your top 5-10 favorite movies of the year...

but try to pick JUST ONE MOVIE from 2007!

What was your favorite flick of '07

Mine was "Pan's Labyrinth"

EDIT: I have been told that even though PL was released in the U.S. in 07 it is actually an 06 film.

My favorite 07 film was BOURNE ULTIMATUM

For me the best movie I saw this year (and I didn't see a lot of movies) was The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford. I loved the acting, the dialogue, the story and the soundtrack.

Oh man I forgot Pan's Labyrinth was released this year I thought it was last year :lol. This is a tough one because I saw so many great movies this year including Pan's Labyrinth (my fav foreign film of 2007) but since I could only pick one my choice is EASTERN PROMISES. It was such a brilliant movie, with amazing acting from Viggo Mortensen

My favorite this year was Transformers. Yeah, it was cheesy and the plot was paper thin, but it was a load of fun and seeing a realistic Optimus Prime in a live-action movie with Peter Cullen's voice booming out of him had chills running down my spine. I'm 32 years old, and I probably haven't felt like that in a movie theater since I was kid watching Christopher Reeve in the Superman costume for the first time.

I think Pan's Labyrinth was technically released in 2006, at least it was first released in other countries in 2006 and it was counted in the 2006 Oscars.

For this year I liked Transformers, pretty good, Sweeney Todd was also good.

Pan's Labyrinth was 2006. It lost the best foreign film Oscar to The Lives of Others, which actually is a much better film, but Pan's is still top five of 06.

My top three this year are the following....

1. No Country For Old Men
2. Juno
3. Eastern Promises

There Will Be Blood doesn't release here until the 11th but it's considered an 07 movie so when I see that everything above will probably move down a slot.

3. Eastern Promises

That's pretty much my Top 3 as well... though I might have "Eastern Promises" ahead of "Juno" by a nod. "The Mist" would also be in my Top 5.

Well, there are still some films I want to see (Juno, No Country for Old Men, 3:10 to Yuma) so my top could change but my top three...

1. Sweeney Todd
2. Grindhouse
3. Wristcutters: A Love Story

Transformers
SM3
30 DAYS OF NIGHT
HP5

Were all flawed but at least i enjoyed them all.

No Country for Old Men and Atonement, The Bourne Ultimatum
Just phenomenal in every respect.
There are still many films I havnt caught from this year that I gotta see asap though (There Will Be Blood, Eastern Promises etc)

Well I chose Pan's because it was released in the U.S. last January. But since it was up for the 2006 oscars I will retract my vote and say my favorite movie of 07 was BOURNE ULTIMATUM.

while i really haven't gotten to see very many movies this year Id say Grindhouse was my favorite.
