Really? Perhaps "Blows AWAY" is the the phrase you were looking for. It has a distinctly different connotation than "blows" as I'm sure you would agree. Makes me think of "Night At The Museum"...

Doom PF, for it's value, as it is a large an impressive piece which is well done, but I don't like that version of his armor. I prefer a more classic look.

Thor PF- looks and value.
Punisher comiquette- looks. Incredible detail
Scarlet Witch comiquette- looks. If you can find one painted properly
Spider Man Comiquette -looks and value
Black Cat LSB. looks
She Hulk Comiquette- looks
Mystique PF- looks. An underrated piece, it truly has a sultry, graceful, powerful presence to it.

In addition to the statues that have been mentioned, I'm really impressed by the Hulk vs Spiderman Diorama and the first X-men vs sentinel piece.

I gotta get me one of these ASAP!

I recently started collecting hot toys and have pretty much acquired all the hot toys I want to own for the time being, so I accidentally started browsing through sideshows marvel statue line and was blown away w how awesome some of these statues look. Ive decided to start collecting these as well, but wanted to get an opinion of what you guys think are the best/top 10 marvel statues produced thus far. This can include maquettes, comiquettes, premium format, etc.

Let's hear it...what do you guys consider to be the best marvel sideshow statues created from an aesthetic/craftsmanship point of view and also desirability?

Older stuff is definitely better quality. A few of my fav pieces. Hulk pf and comiquette. Doom pf. Venom 1:1 bust and comiquette. Stealth iron man.

That would be my top 10 in no particular order. When the Skaar PF is released, someone is getting knocked out of my top ten list for that bad ass. IMHO, if he's done right, it may go down as the best SSC marvel piece ever made.

The Gambit PF would definitely be in my top 10 list if I liked the character. That is a wicked good statue.

You are 100% right...a hulking angry green monster; not a hulking green special ed student. It is a great statue, just not my preferred style.

I totally agree with you Kibishii. The PF is not my preferred Hulk as well. There are quite a few of us that feel the same way. The PF owners just hate when we say anything negative about the piece. There is no doubt that the statue has a presence about it. However, that face and the stoic/static pose do absolutely nothing for me. The Hulk is sheer rage for me. My statue of him must reflect that.

That being said, there is no denying that it is a well sculpted piece. That is why it will make many of the peeps top 10 list here. Just not mine.

It would be cool if someone could tabulate this info to see what people consider to be the Best Sideshow statues of all time...grails, if you will.

As a pinball machine collector, I often frequent this site to determine which machine to buy next:

Having this tool is more important in pinball because most of the time you cant play a machine due to scarcity of them on location. Therefore, you review what people think of each pinball machine based on theme, gameplay, artwork, etc...and then you can decide if you want to buy it.

I suppose it would be less useful with statues since ratings would be based entirely on a person's subjective interest in a character and aesthetics such as sculpt, paint job, character likeness, and pose. But who knows...might be cool.
