I have a Marmit sergeant Sandtrooper that I've never put together, what's the best way to build him/mod him?

What have you done to yours?

Thanks a lot!

Never put together... :thud: I'd be more concerned on how to mold and cast that sucker.

I recommend giving him a new body, TT Slim, then paint his armor grey base, then flat white (Tamiya paint). After you get those down, you will need to apply a weathering wash. I can't remember the name of the color wash i used but it was essentially a tea color.

After that I gave him a finish coat, with a floor wax (future). Then I used Tamiya weathering kit, soot, to give him some smudges as you say in the Mos Eisley scenes.

You can also cut up his armor, after heating it with a blow dryer, to give him better articulation and a more real look. I used the Sideshow ab gear as replacement and then put mine together. Some i just cut up and used the Marmit armor. I taped them back together with fabric the same way Sideshow does their armor.

Cut the ankes of the boot so he can get better articulation and poses.

Here's my finished Marmits:

Beautiful pics and mods man, did you piece the accessories together with a specific glue and use the elastic pieces provided? Thanks for your help.

Thanks, DarthAlias!

Yeah, I used the fabric from the jump suit that came with the Marmit and cut it up.

I forgot to mention that i purchased the black jumpsuit from sideshow for my modded Marmits. If you don't want to cut yours up you can use any cloth and cut it up and glue it to the armor, much like Sideshow does.

I also used ultra thin velcro to hold the belt and other side of armor so I can remove it and put it back without being a big problem.

That's a gorgeous Marmit, Brinn. Even though he doesn't have a paint job, doesn't look like he needs it.

Great photos Brinn! You all have definitely helped me out! Thanks a lot and I'll keep you posted with pics on my progress.

Sweet. Let us know your plans and keep us up to date with photos.

Would love to know what you come up with.

If you want your plain Stormy to look shiny, try using the Pledge future shine.
