You may be putting too much faith in what one customer service rep is saying. We all know how spot-on customer service is now-a-days, especially at eBay.

So did I. At least that's the way all my other Live.com purchases worked. Not this one though. The minute I paid for it I got an email saying that my caschback had been awarded. I checked my paypal account and sure enough, there it was.

Forget about the 20 day stuff, this has nothing to do about 'WHEN' I would get it, but the fact that it wasn't showing up in the 'View order details' page.

The reason it wasn't showing up is, you have to actually pay for the item, THEN it shows up.

The ebay rep was full of it. I am going to try and get his a$$ is trouble for relaying inaccurate info.

I'm going to edit and erase the original post so as to not stir up any confusion.

How I wish that instant cashback worked when the % was 20-30%. The 60-day wait just leaves things open for too many things to go wrong (e.g., Microsoft or Ebay disqualifying your cashback). You're basically at Microsoft or Ebay's mercy.

Yeah, I'm surprised no one remembers/read our posts in the other thread a week ago. People were getting instant savings/cashback like crazy. My experiences were hit and miss, but at least I got a little of the "instant cashback" action.
