Re: The Watch Thread

Received my Casio Mudmaster this morning and absolutely love it!

I had my Tag Heuer for several years but only wore it a handful of times. Was worried about scratching such an expensive watch.
This looks like it would survive a nuclear strike :lol

Haven't got a clue how to work it, can't even set the time & date, and haven't had time to read the huge booklet :dunno
As thought the thermometer is useless while wearing the watch.

On a side note: I'm on day four cigarette free after nearly 30 smoking one thing or another :wink1:
Vape is working a treat.

Sounds good man. Glad that you're back into watches, and G-shocks are quite a sight to behold.

Congrats on staying smoke-free, too :rock.

Re: The Watch Thread

Some pics of the Bulova Precisionist that I picked up a few weeks ago. From lug to lug, it's a heavy, all stainless steel, 54 mm monster. But, fits incredibly comfortable on the wrist and doesn't move. It also tucks away neatly into dress shirts, which is a big plus for me.

Re: The Watch Thread

That Bulova looks very nice.

Just picked this up...

Radio controlled, so self adjusts time every night, and Solar powered.

Re: The Watch Thread

Yup! And they are heavy!

I just ordered an Apple Watch Nike edition. It now tracks swimming exercises too, so a plus

And thanks! I got it on sale at Macy's last month. At most places, I've seen it run less than $500 at retail.

These are some big a$$es right here:

Nice collection ;)

Re: The Watch Thread

Congrats! That is a great line of watches that will last a lifetime.

There's one I want, but I'm waiting on some free amazon gift cards to redeem as part of my credit union card perks, to lower it down a bit:

So I sold my Mudmaster.

The Compass & Thermometer kept me entertained for a day or two.
Casio recommend taking a proper compass if you're in a situation where you are likely to need one and even after taking the watch off for 20 minutes, as recommended, the Thermometer is still only a guide. Neither are particularly accurate.
Looked great though :lol

Solar power & Wave ceptor, daily calibration, are the way to go imo. Way more handy than gimmicky tools.

Getting a GW-3500 when I find the right deal...
