I'm on the fence about this one. On one hand the sculpt is better and I like the look a lot more. Plus, my other 11 had the paint from his hair scratched off and I had to repaint it. On the other one, I don't have the funds to pay him until Christmas and he costs pretty much as much as Han and Chewie (which I really, really want along with Star-Lord and maybe Groot and Rocket). Decisions, decisions, decisions...

With the extra capaldi head and the light-up Handles cyberman head, for me, this is a no-brainer.
Handles was nice but only in 1 episode and I don't know what appeal an extra Capaldi head has if you plan on getting the 12th doc figure anyway, which I do. I only need 1 representation of each and Matt's doctor is more identified with the tweed jacket costume. I'll likely upgrade my stand though, even though I don't really use them, just to have a match set.
I wasn't going to bother with any "multiple" figure release. However, the sales pitch on this is cool. The extra Capaldi HS, Handles, etc. all looking very good.
I signed up ( well, I signed my dad up) for the priority preorder, so I've gotta remind my dad to place that order on Tuesday. Who knows, it could even be available early in the new year.

Just watched that latest episode, and then of course the trail for the next episode,. It consolidated my idea of doing a Capaldi in Space Suit figure. The HT TT figure has already replaced the CO el cheapo body. At this time, I'm still using the original CO DT HS. Basically, as soon as I get the Capaldi HS,mist a straight pop on! Yay!!!

Just found out about this so pre orders haven't gone up yet? I would love to get this for the Capaldi sculpt, love this new doctor so much. Also do they request a NRD like sideshow? Also this was on facebook, getting flac :/

How does their priority preorder work? I just set up an account with them, but have never gone directly through them before.

I think, ultimately, it will depends on how big a run they are doing, which I haven't seen announced so far.
If the run is as big as most previous (new series) releases, then you're likely to have plenty of time to grab him, particularly if you don't care about the 'extras'. If the run is closer to the recent Hartnell release (500) then they might sell out much quicker, given how many people missed out or passed on the first Smith release, and came on board later with the likes of Tennant, given the new series wider popularity, and also given the Capaldi head factor, which definitely widens the appeal, even to many who might have been perfectly happy with the first Smith release. The Capaldi head is supposedly limited to being 'while stocks last' as well, so who knows exactly what that means, but that might encourage people to order sooner rather than later as well, just to make sure they get that second head. Just have to wait and see what the numbers actually are, and how it all plays out I guess.
I'm ordering anyway, so way I figure it is that I may as well make sure I avoid any potential hassles and order right away.

That sums up my feelings on this release. I might add that we don't know how limited the Capaldi HS is. If it were available during the complete run of the figure, I don't think they would say ltd within the ad.

I actually wonder if we won't get another previous Doctor between now and the individual 12th Doctor release, just so they can put up 12 when the series is actually airing again next year (and also giving them plenty of time to choose a look and accessory list based on the current full series). But of course that would also depend on whether Capaldi is back for a full second season next year (I expect he will be, personally).
I just wonder if part of the reason why we are getting this head sculpt with variant 11 isn't as a way to tide us over for a while, as they know that the full 12 release is still going to be a while off yet.

Thanks guys for spurring me to visit the Big Chief website and discover that the alternate 4th Doctor head is up for pre-order.
Apparently they're relying on us to follow their Facebook page. 
Personally, I rely on folks here keeping me up to speed. I didn't know of the 4th Doctor order! I will add that to the instructions for my dad for tonight.
After saying that, I've just reminded him of the 6 o'clock preorder. I don't think he will mind getting two things ordered.
He might be concerned that he hasn't any of my money to hand just now!! So I'd better head out to a bank and wire him a fistful of $$$
