So- here will be some competition who have bigger or less issues for paintups?I believe BC promised replacement to all paint rub sculpts even before anyone asked about it.

They're realizing it's a much wider problem then they thought and they're trying to dance around giving replacements to everyone. It should be made that difficult. Clearer pics? The pics in this thread show off the defect just fine. They kinda suck.

In fairness to BC, the first photos I sent, were a little blurred and the rubs could have been mistaken as camera flash.
However, I wouldn’t be bothering them if I didn’t have a problem. I’ve bought every one of their Doctor Who figures, and I have 5 of their own figures preordered and paid for. To retain good customer relations, I would have taken me at my word.
I hope others aren’t going to get the same problem, being told their pics aren’t good enough.

I’m expecting feedback today based upon the turnaround from my initial email.

Pitty ,but they are, but it's same for all of sculpts, but paint rub is an technical issue which should be replaced.

Yes of course Gido, everyone who needs one should get a replacement.

I can't believe what I'm reading here. They clearly underestimated the issue. In a minute we'll have someone here from BCS claiming it's just a few isolated heads, lol. Or maybe, 'customers have been looking at them too hard'.

It makes me really glad they raised their prices. I used the Bond money elsewhere and now I've got a Muhammed Ali figure on my shelf that I can't stop playing with.

BC, as good as their word. Pictures are accepted and replacements to be sent.
They replied and approved replacements within a working day of the clearer pictures. A pretty good turnaround I thought.

I guaranteed you the Die Hard collectors will never buy another Figure
from BC if they don’t take care of the defect.

$275 for a Figure is not a lot of money these days but
Losing customers and to bad press is worse in my opinion

When a collector is paying $250 for a Figure, you know the buyer
Is probably going to buy more and has disposable income.

I emailed BC 2 X and no response on status

This is true in my case, I do have a lot of disposable income, as I think a lot of us collectors do but a bad experience is a bad experience and that's what counts. I got the sense they didn't believe me and when I sent the pics to them, they said it looked like a shine on the nose? Even though they know full well a lot of the figs had nose rub issues. If this gets sorted out than fine, if not then, they wont get another cent of my money.

I actually first thought the iris had the design of the bond gun barrel incorporated into it.

It is possible that some people (not here) are taking advantage of the nose rub issue in order to get a set of free heads. Perhaps BCS is simply being cautious.

Without Bond no sense right now getting GF and OJ...those eyes and other issues bother me more and more when they didn't bother me at first. Look at what QMX is doing with Star Trek- so much better on every level..you don't have to be HT to do superior stuff...so what is the excuse??

I thought that same thing earlier. It makes sense for BC to want proof of damage.
It appears that you supply that proof, and the heads, or other parts will be sent on.

There's too much over the top praise for QMX,when comparing them to BC. They're nice figures...but the paint apps are pretty standard and not much better (if any) than these bond sculpts...
