Yeah, hopefully the Live and Let Die issue was a growing pains type deal, and going forward Big Chief will have smoother sailing.

I know there's a few people here that are interested in a Dalton Set next, and that was the hint from BCS... but I hope BCS rethinks that. There's so much more to explore in the Bond franchise.

Dalton would be next on my wishlist. I think I’d be good with just a Connery, Moore, and Dalton personally. Dalton has always been my favorite and I find him somewhat underrated as Bond. I suppose I’d maybe consider Brosnan too. Craig to me would likely be a pass. His best film was Casino Royale and the rest are just alright. I also am not a huge fan of the pissy attitude he’s had about playing the part.

I am pretty sure that the Dalton set will come next - Bond & Q.
I have t preordered the Dr.No set yet. Purely psychological: I looked at my preorders at the time and there near ?1700.00 in orders. The Bond set would take it over 2G. Decided to wait till the orders started to arrive. At the same time, it’s pretty cool that at this time, stuff is coming in pretty regularly, and the quality is damned good. Captain Scarlet was great, then a couple of weeks ago, the 8th Doctor: a really great release - and next week, Live and Let Die.
I think that I’ll be hyped when that set arrives, and I’ll be straight onto ordering the Dr. No set.

I'd love to see Bond and Le Chiffre, as well as a free running version of Bond, as well as Bond and Trevelyan.

Ok finally broke down and ordered Bond at AlterEgo, which had him for $249 shipped. It's a lot to pay for a pretty basic outfit, but the figure just looks way too good now to miss out on.

Although I do wish they had give him that bigger 70s belt he had in the movie. The current one looks a bit too modern and normal. Lol

As a fan of 60s/70s 007, I’m delighted to get Connery and Moore figures.
As they used to say in the double bills, back to back Bond.

BCS Connery and DID Moore (with a Toys City suit). With the the BCS Moore on the way next week, I figured that the DID Moore needed a different look.

I want all the Bonds. I told myself I'd end with that - but I'm also tempted to get the original supporting cast (Q, Moneypenny, M) if they made them. And I must have a Jaws. That'd be epic. He was always my favorite villain. And dang, it'd be hard to skip a Pleasance Blofeld.

Yeah I wasn't so sure after seeing how their first Connery turned out, but now I'm definitely in on the whole batch, and really hope the quality keeps up with Craig and Dalton.

And I'm kinda bummed now that I missed out on the deluxe Dr No Connery with hat and coat.

I’m leaning towards getting Bond and Dr. No from Dr. No. I don’t think that I’ll go very far into the other villains though. The exceptions may be Jaws and a version of Blofeld. After those give me a Dalton Bond and I think I’ll be content. I don’t want to dive too deep into another franchise.

Agreed that it’s a bummer missing the overcoat and hat for the Dr. No Bond. The way Big Chief has it on their site I didn’t even realize at first that the ordering period for those exclusives was closed.

I was about to post the same thing! I had no idea the preorder window for the exclusive items ended on 10/31/2019. That sucks.

Definitely a shame to see the hat and long coat go bye-bye. I imagine they will be offered on ebay at a premium.

But given the history, and this coronavirus, there is just no way I am preordering anything right now. Wasn't there talk about a gofundme type situation with these Bonds? The uncertainty of so much right now just gives me pause.

I will over-pay down the road for piece of mind today.

Yeah the reason I haven't pre-ordered the Bond and Dr No set is because they shut down the exclusive items, which I didn't realise was happening until after the fact. And given Big Chief's history with 'exclusives', there is every chance these come up again once they arrive in stock, so I'll hold off and see what happens. Definitely intend to grab them, though.

As for pre-orders in general, its a legitimate concern, and I can't see myself ordering much in the coming months, not that I expect too much will be offered anyway, and even less that I'm actually interested in. But I will make the odd exception, such as supporting mid-level players like Big Chief if they put up anything I want, in the hopes that doing so helps them better ride out the coming storm. With them making Doctor Who and Bond, I'd really hate to see them hit the wall. No idea what the risk of that actually is, guess it all depends on how bad things get, and how long it stretches on for.
