Bond should sell thru eventually, certainly his 500 at least -- bad timing right now.

But Solitaire and Samedi will likely never get their full 1,000 made, and be lucky to sell off the 400 made on each.

Its a very interesting lesson on edition sizes vs manufacturing sizes and price point.

I do plan to pick up all three now myself, just looking for a good place to do so here in the USA.

I’ve done that. Beware! Some are difficult to watch. I found Live and let die, Goldfinger, Octopussy, the last one with Moore (can’t remember the name at the moment), but most of all, Diamonds are forever... terrible. diamonds is really atrocious. It took me three sittings to watch in its entirety as I kept falling asleep.

The others are basically good, ranging from just Okay (Moonraker, yet loved it as a kid) to awesome: Dr No, From Russia..., the Dalton’s, Goldeneye, Casino)

Goldfinger was difficult to watch?? I've never found that to be remotely the case for me. Although I guess you do have to be in the right mood for some of these movies. I always found LALD hard to sit through before, but gave it another shot a few weeks ago and surprisingly enjoyed it quite a bit.

I've re-watched them in order a few times in recent years and there are some really difficult ones to get through (a product of their time) and but also some absolute classics. I tend to group them (in my head cannon) as follows:

CONNERY / SPECTRE SERIES: Dr No., FRWL, Goldfinger, Thunderball and YOLT with OHMSS playing off either as a standalone or an epilogue to the main series, ending on a downer (I wish Connery had done this one instead of Diamonds)

MOORE: LALD, TMWTGG (the weakest of the three but Scaramanga is an awesome villain and a great foil to Bond) with TSWLM to round off the series (the rest of the Moore movies almost play like a Bond spoof with Moore playing an exaggerated version of himself rather than Bond)

DALTON / BRONAN: TLD, LTK and Goldeneye (which may as well be a Dalton film, and I wish it was, as that version of Bond is very different to the rest of the more camp Brosnan movies)

CRAIG: I guess all five of them (subject to No Time to Die being good) but I find Quantum to be a tough watch and only 'essentially' there for the connection to overarching story of this series.

The rest can be forgotten and ignored for the most part.

Funny enough I’ve always liked The Man with the Golden Gun even though I know it’s often cited as one of the weaker ones. I do know there are some real clunkers in the series. The goal is for my girlfriend and I to gradually watch them from like now until No Time to Die releases. So a good amount of time to watch through them and take some breaks.

I know I’ve seen at some point both of Dalton’s, all of Brosnan’s, all of Craig’s. Connery and Moore I haven’t seen all. I’ve seen Dr. No, Goldfinger, and Diamonds are Forever for sure. Moore I’ve seen Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, Moonraker, and Octopussy for sure. A lot of them though it’s been years since I’ve watched them. I’ve probably seen bits and pieces of the remaining Connery and Moore films.

Well, you’ve missed the only two good ones from Moore: The spy who love me, one of my favorite Bonds ever, and For your eyes only, one of his most down to Earth and not spoiled by stupid gadgets.

For Connery, From Russia with love is one of the best. Incidentally, it was Kennedy's favorite Bond book.

So I’m looking at BIG Chief’s site at some of their products. Notice that they have Goldfinger in-stock still and there’s the regular version and limited edition version. The regular version is $242.09 and the limited version is $168.41 if I’m doing the conversions right at least. Some figures list the US Dollars price and some only list the price in Sterling Pounds, but from what I can tell the way I’m converting looks right as the US price looks to be the Sterling price before tax (which I’m guessing is the VAT taxes). Anyways just wondering if anyone knows why there’s such a difference in price? The limited edition version comes with the extra accessories (his riding hat and gloves). From what I can tell there aren’t other differences.

The Limited Edition is on Sale.
The First Edition includes "additonal slipcase, dossier and accessory."

Are you referring to the Goldfinger Bond?

Yeah, but it essentially is the same figure only with some extra accessories. I just found it odd that they would be charging less for the limited edition version. I mean I won’t complain but just found it odd.

Are you referring to the Goldfinger Bond?
The villain himself is who I’m referring to. Bond looks to be sold out, but if I get the Dr. No Bond I’d be okay pairing him alongside Dr. No and Goldfinger.

I'm guessing others saw the announcement, but BCS sent out a notice about figure production/release delays due to COVID-19:

Bond and Dr.No are delayed until November 2020.

You should have added this for full effect! :)

Yeah, it’s a shame they seem to have dropped the ball on the gun. Might just keep it holstered and display him with the machete. That or may try to find a replacement gun.

Yes, I think this figure would shine with a good diecast gun.
Which type of gun that is by the way? Never learned guns name and stuff...

Another thing that I don?t read enough on these BC posts : the touch on/off bases!
I love them!

Don?t know why other brands don?t use this kind of lighting up instead of putting switchs in all the unreachable places they can found....[emoji2373]
