It's going to take a serious CGI shop to get this movie right. The plasmids alone are going to be a serious undertaking, then
the battle with Ryan at the end is going to be intense
I would love to see the splicers and big daddys in a live action film.

Meh.. lame for people who've played the game. I already know the big twist so I say "Would you kindly F' off" to the people trying to make this. Unless it's an original script based off the game. Like a prequel showing how the city got F'd up.

Movie interpretations of video games very rarely go right. If this is ever actually produced, I fully expect that it will suck, and fail to capture much of what makes the game so great.

this script is already written and it's based on the game. the guy who made the pirates of the caribbean movies was supposed to direct it, but he dropped out a few days ago and now the guy who directed 28 weeks later is directing it. o, the guy that wrote aviator wrote the script.

You guys overlooked (or ignored) the most important news: The director on Bioshock is no longer Gore Verbinski. It is Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who recently directed the decent 28 Weeks Later.

I gotta say, this is a step down.

yes I agree. I think gore would have done the better job, considering his knowledge on how to make a movie like this. but who would have thought he would have made such an awesome pirates movie? maybe this new guy won't be so bad with a good budget behind him.
