I've been a Marvel fan for over 30 years(yes I'm old lol) and I could never fathom cancelling this statue for pieces like Gambit or Carnage who have a much lesser history in the Marvel Universe...but to each his own and i respect others opinions.
Funny thing the ex sold out in less than a day and the new Hulk with the same ES took over 4 days...so I guess the beauty of the sculpt and the over-all great look of BP caught on with some people.

as for been sold out and the time it takes to sell items, i wouldn't put no stock in ssc SOLD OUT tactics or for that matter what sold out mean to ssc doesn't mean sold out to others

Those who are thinking of canceling this figure should think again. This could be an all timer or sculpt of the year. I read the specifications again and it said that all figures will come with both a masked and unmasked head sculpt. That being said it may not be on Doctor Doom's detail level, but it will be every bit as good as Captain America, Red Skull, or the Hulk. Character just doesn't have the history.

Regardless those who don't end up with this figure will regret it.

Ill be ordering this piece but i can see both sides the argument here is the character, everyone loves how it looks. But the black panther ins't popular enough for someone to fork out 300 bones. I'm on the fence also of just waiting. But i think once people see the live and in person people are gonna go nuts... Wait till SS puts the video out.

Agreed. The demand for the character may not be as high as some of the others, but it will be a special piece.

Agreed. When a product "sells out" is a meaningless measure since SS uses it a marketing ploy. At the end of the day the only thing that matters for a prospective project/piece is revenues and profitability. Neither of which is information we have access to on a per project basis.

I have been waiting months for my Wolvie Ex to convert.
It still hasn't happened.

I waited for other Star Wars pieces to convert (e.g., circle is now complete Ex) and none of them converted either.
It is by no means a guarantee.

I don't know man. I prefer the masked version. His unmasked version looks like his head is floating against the mostly black costume.

Unmasked head is a bit of a disappointment. But, i was planning on getting him with or without it. The pose/sculpt is just amazing!
