Got mine today. Great figure , but one problem. The cannon does not seat all the way down on the metal post, because it rests agaist a damaged gun carrage piece. If pressure is applied, either the cannon or base will be damaged. Kinda sticks out like a soar thumb. Other than that VERY satisfied.

While he's obviously not as major a character (person) as The Thing this is a very beautiful piece. The clothes are perfect and the details are amazing. I have only seen pics of the Thing but to me Blackbeard blows him out of the water in terms of quality.

That's true, but I tend to compartmentalize. Marvel altogether, Star Wars altogether, so I'd have to find a way to display Blackbeard alone. Still he's the frontrunner so I'll find a way if I get him.

I actually double checked last night and Blackbeard is only 75 dollars more than Thing. And has a lower edition size (comparing to international Thing). So I've got a feeling I'm going for that one. Gotta wait until a check or two rolls in though.

this was the truest statement of the PF's Thing and Blackbeard. They are both awesome PF's, ppl don't like the Thing because it's not worth much money. That being said it will be around and you can always pick them up for a deal. Get BB since he will be the harder acquistion and just sit and save for the Thing which prolly won't take you very long in the period of time to save for regardless.

Haven't gotten him yet, getting him from a fellow freak but he was out of town last week and I'll be out of town next week

So it might be the end of Oct until I get some modding action goin on with Stormy
