Jinx is doing a second run? Link? Or did I miss two runs lol.

Otter wax is what I used on mine before weathering it with acrylic paint. It helps with the laminated look.

Thought you canceled yours Mike? :lol

Curious to see it with the wax. Didn't think it would work since this isnt real leather. :/

Check the interest threads. Second run ordering is up and deadline is April 27th. Get in there. :wave

I know you can wax cotton, the material on this coat is a little weird though.

It's acrylic paint that's been heavily diluted. I'm sure if I went a little thicker with the paint, I wouldn't have needed to add so many coats. I did about 5-6 coats. :lol

Yup it’s sunthetic fiber which means it’s pretty much impossible to manipulate in any way. Several layers of wax helps thicken it up and gives it a bit of a sheen and mailable texture

Yes that’s why I used something made for fabric. Oil I wouldn’t want it would leave residue on all my figures.

The floor polish stuff old man hobbiests use, or mod podge, or clear coat acrylic etc will all stiffin it.

No way around it’s just the Wrong material so there’s not much you can do.

But remember that the original coat was not leather. It resembles oilskin. Probably cotton with wax or oil. In the world of Blade Runner no one would ever use leather - there basically aren’t any animals left and it would be unethical wearing animal products.

Thinking I might just ‘laminate’ the coat with a thin layer of clear acrylic medium. It will darken the color some and get that laminated look.

it will stiffen the fabric though. diluted black is still better for wet look.

future floor care may work.

good thing about gloss is not just darkening the fabric but also give it a wet glossy look. not sure how well it will hold though.

What body is best suited for the Jnix sculpt? They're all pretty expensive on eBay so I wanted to be sure before pulling the trigger. Thanks guys.
