boy this dio is hunting for a fan base, i would maybe, MAYBE, buy one for that price, except of course they had a reserve.

Yeah, I was watching this and meant to bid on it. But it ended But i'm just on the fence about spending $350 at SS for it..... With my luck it'll skyrocket next year

yeah i should correct myself, i'm not that interested in this piece because of the theme, not because of the quality or design. it does look highly detailed and should be worth more. it's just unfortunate that it doesn't seem to have a fan base. YET!!!! until next year and it's selling for triple the price of retail damn shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Great dio, bad character choice. It's even on the Gift Card list. But ebay seems to be the best alternative ($182!!)

Ive been contemplating getting this one for investment purposes, but with all the bad luck I've been seeing with sideshows QC I'm trying to avoid the hassle of returning, etc.....

I have a lot of trouble believing that. Most of the pieces that triple in value have been successful at least a little bit at the very beginning. Even though Doom went on to be offered on second chance he wasn't there for so long. Neither was Iron Man. I think many people will just have to accept that this dio is a bomb.

I agree. The charcters don't seem too popular, but the piece overall seems to be excellent! Nice detail, but it's just so unclear what the future holds for this one....... But isn't that ALWAYS the case???

Doubly so because it is Blade. The character's comic book series and TV show were canned. The recent movies didn't do all that great. The only thing this dio has going for it is the quality and detail.

I have learned that in this hobby character popularity can only take you so far. Spidey is more popular than Doom. However, the strenght of the Doom PF sculpt/execution is so well done that Doom commands big money compared to Spidey PF.

You never know how these things will play out. This could be a Thor/Loki dio flop or it could raise steadily once the exclusives are sold out. I just feel that this piece has too much going for it not to go up. It's a Marvel sculpt but it also borders on the horror/anime categories.

It is easily the best diorama they have done.
