Never bought a blitzway figure before so have a question for members that have.

I live in the UK so I am used to being months behind other country's for getting a hot toy. If most seem to be thinking may release window, how long after could I expect to see these in stock in the UK ?.
Trying to make sure I have money in the bank to not loose my order.

That will depend partly on what retailer you have ordered from. Why don't you drop them a line and ask?

The UK isn't always far behind the US etc. It's about who the manufacturer prioritises and how long shipping and import takes. Star Ace, for example - UK started out a month or more ahead of US then fell behind. It was due to shipments scheduling. Normally, the far east get their figures first, so once that happens you'll have anything from a couple of weeks to a couple of months.

In my experience buying HT from UK retailers, they arrive 3-4 months after they release initially in Hong Kong, sometimes later. Haven't ordered Blitzway before but since pre-ordering these Ghostbusters I've kept a close eye on the Tyler Durden figures. Most UK retailers only seemed to get those in stock relatively recently and they were out in Hong Kong well before Christmas.

If they released in HK in May I'd be amazed if we see them here before the end of the summer. I recently upgraded from the three pack to the full set and have just under £200 left to pay off my order now.

That's only partly true because it really does depend on what retailers you use in the UK. Some take months, others can get them the same time or in weeks. Highly depends on whether they are grey importers or not. Besides, Blitzway are only dealing with certain retailers in each country directly on an exclusive basis - so, those retailers will get them pretty soon while others are the grey imports through third parties and will take longer to arrive (normally).

Amerang supply Blitzway exclusively to UK retailers. Blitzway won't deal with anyone else.

I am of the idea that BW will be making a big move with this set. I think they realize this could catapult them into artistic competition with HT.

Should this turn out well, people will really sit up and pay attention to BW on a larger scale. With enough funds and notoriety from this release....hot on the tails of the Tyler sucess....we may se BW become a very big player. I would reckon we will start thinking of the top 3 producers as HT, Sideshow and BW.

My shop is a chain store so the response is typical "been told ship date to retailers is 30th April" will update you when we know.
I imagine that I can expect close to Hot Toys times then ?. Few months after rest of world it seems.

Just stumbled upon this amazing Ghostbusters video! Some guy and his kids come across the Ecto 1 and then a security guard takes them onto set where they meet the whole Ghostbusters!! Amazing! Definitely watch it if you have a spare 15 minutes.

My sentiments as well.

I like to believe that they won't cut any corners with these figures, realizing that their reputation hangs in the balance as this is a license that could either make or break them in the 1/6 game.

My hope is that these come out next to perfect and we maybe get more 80's film figures from them, I'd love someone to tackle The Goonies license, Even if it was just a Sloth figure to add to my collection, The one figure i always hope gets revealed from someone!

I agree the Ecto is a huge statement, but also a huge risk. That level of product has to be perfect in every way. Anyone shelling out the dough for that thing will expect perfection.

That makes it a much higher risk tent pole for BW. The 1/6 figures , while they need to be great, do not need perfection. If the are even close it will give BW a huge boost in rep.

I just cannot figure is doing all 4 is smart or not....the community will either be more forgiving for small flaws , or even a major flaw in one figure if the rest are solid......
Or if that flaw is glaring....it will over shadow the rest of them if they are mediocre....

As for the GB figures, I couldn't afford the whole set but I'm excited about getting a Venkman. These are a long time coming and I'm glad blitzway stepped up where others haven't.

I'm really looking forward to these, can't wait to finally have them in hand. I saved the money from last year's tax return to get the Dr. 3 Pack to start. If Winston dips in price on the secondary market, I'll add him. I got the Dr. 3 Pack to start though being that my favorite segment in the film is the Slimer bust at the Sedgwick.

I was looking at the sculpts again for the BW Egon and the SS Egon. I think I kind of have to give the nod to the SS sculpt in being more accurate to the shape of Harold Ramis's head, but the BW sculpt looks to be more detailed in having better paint apps. Wonder if the two sculpts will be interchangeable on either figure?

Had to remind myself why my bank account is $896 short lol

Blitzway needs to atleast put out a notice that ecto-1 will be ready this time around come san diego comicon
