I watched it the other day too :lol that whole roof sequence is perfect. Every line of dialogue is legendary.

I'm embarrassed to even admit this, but I never paid enough attention with the Gozer stuff to realize that Stay Puft is actually Gozer :slap

I'm going to put GBII on a few minutes.

That's actually not something I realized until later on as well. :lol

I always thought Gozer was just going to send a destructor, in the form of whatever they thought. Kind of like a think of your worst nightmare thing, and I'll make it come true. Didn't realize until later on Gozer meant itself would take the form of whatever they thought of.

When I was younger, I always found this line in particular for some reason to be hilarious:

Yes, Mr. Stay Puft is the form of the Destructor... which is the form Gozer takes to destroy the Ghostbusters. So technically, its Mrs. Stay Puft, the no longer nimble minx.

Well Gozer is "whatever it wants to be," so I guess it's more accurately an "it" and doesn't necessarily have a biological gender. Just an entity that takes the form and gender of whatever it wants.

I may have just started a new discussion that to my knowledge has never been debated here: what is Gozer's real gender? Does it even have one? The phones are now open. :lol

I totally agree, although the flight suits only looked grey; they were actually the colour Blitzway used, the film stock made them look different. I also feel like there should be a touch of blue in there.

Yeah like a lot of costumes they probably only selected that color because of how they knew it would appear on film.

I think I can live with the BW color though. It still feels close enough to me.

WOW! That's outstanding futzing right there.

If the sculpt just had that more dopey expression to go with the dangling cigarette it would be perfect.

Did you use pearl gray, Robbie?

Little more than futzing happening in that pic but thanks. ;)
Pearl grey?

Well you've done an amazing job with your very professional work and skills (not just futzing). :)

When I do that with acrylics I always get a thick feel in the material once it dries. I must be too impatient and use too much paint. Yours looks so clean it looks like dye.

Yeah there is almost no paint. The binder is gone and so what you're left with is the pigment. And even then, it's about the consistency of dirty paint water. Dyes are clearly designed for this but I don't have the experience with them and I always get nervous when it comes to bleed and transfer to the figure.

I'm still not pleased with his build and the fit of the jumper but it's getting close. Thanks though.

I think I've pretty much done all I'm going to do with mine. I don't have the balls to do any major mods to my figures such as repaints or taking power tools to them; I just work within the stock figure on futzing what's already there and rearrange gear and accessories and adjust clothing as best as I can to make it look as screen accurate as possible. I'm satisfied with the way they currently look.

Mine came in! I was thinking not opening until Christmas , but maybe I should inspect it first. Anything I should double check?

Popcultcha in Australia, but the figures won't be released here until Feb, and the shipping to the States would likely be nuts.

Thanks for that! I should have known to check there first. Looks like I might have actually secured one of the last pre-orders for the special 4 pack and I don't mind waiting until February.

ECI shipping to the US actually isn't bad at all for such a massive box. Plus, I have ordered from Popcultcha before, so I had pennies to apply.

Sweet! Glad it worked out for you. We can both be late happy picture posters to this thread :p

What are you doing to get the suit legs to stay puffed out like that right where it meets the boots? Stuffing of some kind? Looks great!

With the boots on, I do a gathering stitch at the cuff and then pull it tight up against the calf and top of boot. Then blouse the pants over the hide the stitch.

This is EXACTLY what I've thought for years. But I was doing some reading into Gozer after I got this set and found that out. I see the end of the film completely different now.

I watching GBII last night. Dan Aykroyd was T H I C C

Yeah he was.

I'd even go out on a limb to say he's the one that looked the most different of the guys to me. Hudson had different hair and no mustache, but he would have looked the same if you gave him back his GBI look. Ramis looked like he may have filled out a bit, but pretty much looked the same. Murray also definitely filled out a bit (which is more what this sculpt is representative of), but still relatively looked the same. Aykroyd to me looked much more youthful in GBI than he did in II.
