His kid never knew him and his wife had him killed, but you are correct.
Okay…any other crazy conspiracies you’d like to share?
And his kid knew him a lot better than anyone on this thread did. Once again, anyone who cares about her Daddy’s legacy more than she does might want to do some soul searching and some priority rearranging.

Does it come with a shotgun? 🤭

I think Kurt Cobain would have been ok with it. He had a good sense of humor. The figure, not my awful joke.

Having said that, I expect someone posing the figure with a shotgun.😬
Nice of you to have pointed out that was an awful joke. Probably wasn't worth posting in the first place. Insensitive....

The one thing is I imagine if Kurt were alive he would probably hate this. The estate and Courtney Love don’t care though.
I had the same first thought. Usually I don't think this with musicians but Cobain was a particular guy. Same would go for, say, Prince. But as you point out, the likeness rights are controlled by his estate, and not that she needs it, but his kid deserves any money that comes to her given how he left the world. I would consider buying though there would be an irony in having a guy on the shelf who seemed to really despise the commercialism that his music was associated with.

Not that I disagree, but I’m fairly certain that Courtney and Frances Bean aren’t hurting for money. Nirvana’s popularity has prevailed long after Kurt’s death.

Even with the limited discography and stuff I feel like they still sell a lot in terms of albums and merchandise.

Well just two year earlier in "Come as you are" he repeatedly sang "I swear that I don't have a gun/no I don't have a gun" so his own awful joke was there for anyone to see. :dunno

I do think a little swimming nude baby figure would be a nice side display for the fig.

I didn’t respect Kurt’s desire to self medicate with heroin or blow his brains out after having a child so I don’t mind going against a presumed objection to becoming a 1/6 figure.

Deeper one delves into Kurt's psyche, the more hypocrisy you'll find. Nevertheless, there's still lots he brought to the world before his untimely departure. Probably won't buy it but interested to see how it'll turn out.

He was really young. Just a kid with a guitar and a bunch of problems. I see it as a lack of consistency due to inexperience and immaturity, and I think for a lot of people, fame stunts their growth.

Not like I knew the guy but I think of myself at 27 and cringe. I wasn't addicted to any substances but I was just smart enough ... to act like a ******* and cause myself all kinds of grief.

Love Kurt. He would have loved this. Some people want to ascribe a level of piety to the man which he never possessed.

I’ll get it if it looks good. I’m still chaffing from the disappointment that was M8’s John Lennon figure.

Might've been the thrift store sweaters and his discomfort with celebrity.

I was listening to much heavier, darker music at the time but you would have to be dead not to have noticed Nevermind when it came out and the Seattle sound in general, which crossed over into the crowds and places I was hanging out with/at.

(At least if you were young, anyway.)

Nirvana was inextricably woven into the backdrop of those times for me, and while I was never a huge fan at the time, listening to them now brings back a lot of memories.
