I agree with you on the helmet scratch, id be pissed too if that were half painted! Hope they replace it, send a pic in with it circled and maybe a comparison pic of what it should look like. Good luck on that, hope they make it right.

Thanks brother, I filed the complaint with them, they are out for memorial day, so we'll see what comes back this week!

I have to just keep falling back on the fact that it was correct in the proto, and this is a PF which potentially should be higher quality than 1/6, and if 1/6 got it right... I mean there is just no excuse I can think of.... somebody hand painting it does not excuse an error like this.

I'll stop complaining and just wait to see what happens, hopefully they agree and all my troubles will seem so far away.

Hey no, no shots fired, not coming at ya brother, it's that I do want to love this piece, and deep inside I still do. I will argue the cat scratch to the death with customer support and if it wont be replaced I'll sell it on ebay and buy another. The fact that someone meticulously hand painted my cat scratch incorrect MAKES THIS SO MUCH WORSE... who is the IDIOT? I hate to name call, but c'mon if you can't get this detail that is clearly outlined in the prototype photos for you, as well as the mythosaur skull which are both iconic to the ESB figure... what the hell are you doing working as a painter at a Star Wars toy company? I mean literally this is unacceptable, makes me fear that this same artist has ruined many other figures as well. For it's flaws it's still beautiful, but that cat scratch must be corrected. I'll make my own jetpack adjustment tool and I'll paint my own mythosaur skull if I have to, but I'm not going to settle for the helmet. Honestly, I shouldn't have to.

Did anyone get an official statement back on why the JP tool was not included???

I only got three tools like everyone else. I have the full cat scratch. What is off about the skull?

Got it. I didn't know there was a ESB and ROTJ version!!

yeah, and it's a staple in the ESB charm that fans of Fett have attached themselves to. So many people think of the ROTJ mythosaur skull when it comes to the mandalorian symbol, so it makes it even more cool when you're an ESB fan, or troop an ESB armor, and you know the special significance behind the ESB mythosaur. #nerdalert lolol :lol

But go on ebay and look for a mythosaur skull that's an ESB... on a shirt, or patch or sticker. You wont find it, it's all the ROTJ version. It's a rare thing. Thus a beautiful thing ;)

OK - so they are replacing my head for my figure.

The tool, as everyone has been saying, was left out for some reason, they only made the three tools for this figure.

The mythosaur is a manufacturing error and all premium formats were shipped this way. So at least I didn't get a fluke, we are all in the same boat.

The second gun was a mistake on my end, some how I didn't order the exclusive, but I'm happy with the ESB gun, as that's the one intended for this figure.

Now the question becomes... do I alter the mythosaur to be accurate... or do I keep it the way it is and just live with it as that's the way it's made....

Thoughts?

If it drives you crazy, change it. ;) I didn't even know about all of these details until I started reading these forums. The average fan or person who comes to your place to see your Boba Fett statue will have no idea what the hell you're talking about. Lol.

Right on! Glad they are changing that head for you and making it right! Gotta be feeling better about that!

As for the shoulder emblem, if it really bugs you and you can change it without it looking "rigged" go for it. I have no painting skills myself so would not try it myself, but if you have the skills go for it and post up the fix!

As for me I was not aware it was the wrong symbol so it personally doesn't bother me on mine.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. yeah it's hard to alter a figure like this when it costs this much, you don't want to ruin it's value just to make it the way it's supposed to be. I have the tamiya paints and the ability... it's just a tough decision.

Knowing too much about Fett sucks because you can never fully enjoy him again hahaha. I guess I'll live with it... maybe I can use it as a technique to test my friend's Fett knowledge.... WOW GREAT STATUE JC... thanks man, can you tell what's wrong with it? No? YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE IN THIS ROOM. lolol jk. Anyways, still a beautiful statue, always intended on keeping or rebuying it, the worse is over, gonna get the helmet replaced, all is good.

IN OTHER NEWS, I realize the Quarter scale ROTJ boba fett jetpack adjustment tool works great to complete the four shin tools for this premium format ESB figure. I have both so I tried it out. In case anyone is wondering, or can get their hands on a spare!

cheers

If you're altering it for accuracy sake, and do a good job of it, I doubt you'll harm the value at all. You'll probably improve it if anything.

I agree that we shouldn't have to touch these for what we pay, but we all know that we do, especially those of us who are pickier with regards to accuracy and want better finishes etc. Whether it be right or wrong, it's just a fact of this hobby, the factories can sometimes do a half decent job, as they did with this Boba in fairness. But they will never put anywhere near the same amount of love into your, or my statue as we would doing it ourselves and that obviously shows.

Beautiful shots! It's such an awesome piece. I hope Vader comes out just as good!

My final payment is June 25th, this piece I can't wait to add to my collection, he will be my first star wars PF. I think Vader will look even better than the fett, seeing the video of Vader showed why I sold the mythos Vader

Yea I can't wait for Vader. He will be the centerpiece of my new shelves.

I'll probably do the same and will most likely add Darth Maul to the mix.

Interesting...that sounds like a cool setup, have you guys considered a small item in between two statues like a mini bust? Maybe a tiny poster like picture behind them to color them up a little...
