Do you have a full pic of the PF with the new helmet?

I do have a couple of nice full figure shots, I'll post later today if I can. It definitely makes the helmet look closer to the proper scale IMO to see how it sits with the WHOLE figure. I compared it to the SS helmet and it's the same width (give or take) at the bottom (neck connection), it just tapers up to get a little smaller and more properly shaped at the top, and isn't as straight and tall as the SS helmet overall.

SSC screwed up both the PF Fett helmet and the Jango helmet with mace. The Jango helmet looked like the VOTC hasbro one.

That's why I don't have much faith in SS doing a better job than the Medicom RAH Fett's...I think when SS finally gets around to making the Fett's, in like 2012 (!), the quality will fall somewhere between the Hasblow™ VOTC and the RAH fig...at a price of at least $79.99.

Which is why I have both Medi Boba and Jango on pre-order...to get the better quality NOW! :D

I can really only afford one Fett so after spending 150 on this guy I won't be buying sideshows no matter what.

Wow, I had heard that Ex Mace came with a jango helmet but wasn't sure what it looked like. Now that you've mentioned how sh%#ty the Jango helmet looked then I'm sure they have non plans to fix the it.

I mean that would be a real slap in the face to all SS fans if they didn't correct the helmet on Boba & Jango 12" when they finally get around to making them.

The Helm is just meant to be an accessory item. Not something to put on a head. Its great for what it is and when they do a 1:6th scale for both I'm very sure both will be awesome.

Gonna have to side with the SSC pecimists on the helmet issue. Both the PF and Jango accessory helmet don't capture the shape correct and if that were repeated on 1/6 figures, that would actually put me on the fence of buying them. Jango's helmet being a non-wearable accessory is all the more reason to get the shape right, you don't have to accomplish anything other than size, and I was dissappointed when the overall shape was off and found the Hasbro Ultimate Jango helmet to be closer to film accurracy, so I'm hoping they do figure out and correct the problem when they attempt 1/6 figures of these two. Medi's got the shape of the helmet perfect, and that alone had me in love with the figure. I'm probably more **** about this sort of thing than some because of my art background and having to get angles and what not just right, but I notice when it's off, and when it's right, I think the Fett helmet style is just awesome.

You know,It almost seems like SS is getting the shape of the helmet's wrong on purpose. You would think with all of the complaints SS got with the Boba PF that they'd do the right thing this time around and make the shape of the Boba and Jango 12" helmets film accurate, come time of releasing the them.

Hopefully they will try, but they've certainly not gotten it yet.

Nice try Josh.

What? Thats my opinion on the issue. The Jango helmet looks fine and its just a giant accessory so I don't see the issue. The Boba helm on the PF looks good as well. I believe 110% that SS will get any issues people I'm sorry my opinion isn't the same as yours. As far as SS getting them wrong on purpose you gotta be half out of your mind to actually believe **** like that.

I say their getting the helmet wrong on purpose not because "I'm" out of my mind but because "SS" is out of their freakin mind.I mean to make two helmets one in the 12" line and on in the 1/4 line (regardless of one them being a just prop) both wrong holy sh%# they'd have to be getting it wrong on purpose.Nothing else could or would explain why they couldn't make the shape of the helmet film accurate.

Your gonna tell me that this huge collectible company that's well known around the world is getting the shape of our most sought after figure helmet wrong on the notion that "oh well we thought this would be the correct shape it looks fine to us".:google

Man I bet when SS started putting Boba PF together for the first time they thought "oh sh%# his helmet looks way off,ahh fu%# it they'll still buy it" and never fixed it because they only had a certain amount of money they wanted put into it and maybe fell behind in production and rushed it,and they had the nerve to sell that Boba PF for $325.

People are looking for accuracy not cheap misrepresentations of a character.
So,am I out of my mind:rolleyes:,I don't think so.:chew

I wouldn't expect anything less from Medikid. You guys crack me up. I'm not sure what you guys are smokin but its some good stuff I would venture to guess.

The Boba helmet on the PF is definitely not right and before anyone accuses me of trying to bash SS I own the Boba PF so I'm not just someone sitting on the other side of the fence throwing bombs. Having said that, anyone with working eyes can see that the helmet sculpt is definitely "off" and that SS did not come anywhere close to a screen accurate representation of the helmet. The statue on the whole looks good and I don't regret buying it, but anyone who thinks they "nailed" the helmet sculpt for Boba is just wrong, plain and simple.

I think the clarification should be that Chavez feels Sideshow was aware of the inaccurracy and let it slide, rather than what his statement comes off sounding like SSC sought to make it inaccurrate. I'm sure they set out to get it right, but for whatever reason, they didn't get it and either didn't study the reference material enough to see the subtle shortcomings, or they did see it and didn't see it as significant enough to warrant more time on a new mold or whatever it took.

I own the Boba PF as well,so Im not bashing SS not knowing first hand about their product either.I am selling it though because of the helmet fiasco and because the Medi Boba is far more accurate ,and your right all you need is some working eyes

I think some people simply don't understand that LFL Licensing uses a heavier hand with domestic licensees like SSC than they do with smaller market imports like Medicom, especially when it comes to likeness approvals.

In other words, yes the Boba helmet sculpt is off on the PF (I don't count the 1/6 Jango accessory, because it's really meaningless and proves nothing) but at the end of the day LFL even with their overly-**** likeness requirements approved it. And, in fact, I would not be surprised if the Fett helmet was made that shape by request of Lucasfilm since they are notorious now for demanding idealized versions of characters instead of film-accuracy. For instance, we'll likely never see a screen accurate ANH Vader or Stormtrooper product again. :(

**** LFL! If they cause **** like that, they're a bunch of *******s. People don't want to buy a new ****ing vision, they want what they were given. If LFL didn't think Fett's helmet was ideal, go CGI it like they want like they did on everything else in the OT, otherwise leave collectibles intended to be accurrate the **** alone.
