JESUS CHRIST! That...joker..........must.........have!
Mate, fantastic! That rivals JC Hong's ANY day of the week and is more subtle. How much for that paintjob? The Harrison even if unbelievable

I said that boot25 can do a work of the same quality! I have one of his joker head and it's unbelievable in hand :)

joker looks fantastic! that must be a really fun sculpt to paint, given all the room for creativity with the makeup/ eyes.

Amazing stuff Boot, can't wait for the tut, I'd love to learn the techniques. It's quite amazing I went from front to back on this thread.

Thanks, The tutorial is almost done.
My hope is that it will inspire people to pick up a brush and try this. It really isn't hard, after all they're just doll heads:)

I'm getting there John, I'm willing to try until I can make this work :rotfl

I spend hours on my stuff and I want to break down and cry whenever they don't turn out as my ideas in my head. All I can do is keep on improving, which I think I have :D :thud:

Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's a hobby the more people that try this themselves the better it is for all of us.

Close up.

Damn John, this head is simply amazing.... There's such a realistic quality to your work. The head you painted for me has become one of my most prized collectibles.:lecture

We would really appreciate the tutorial. I finally got to do my first custom and I'm actually pleasantly surprised how it turned out. I almost panicked at first, I kinda screwed up. The flesh turned out really red, like when you see someone eat a jabanero pepper:slap

I was kinda upset as I already spent some money getting the other materials like the clothes, body and other stuff to build it. But I kinda went back and started reading a lot of people's comments on the tips for painting topic and went back and it ended up looking much much better so the experience turned out great.
