side by side pics on post #1. I'm still trying to see the differences in the Red/Yellow DD's.

Ones red the others yellow :monkey3, theres your diffrence as far as the statue itself goes. Price wise the yellow is gonna cost more cause its edition size is gonna be lower.

Gloves, Belt, Costume design (red has DD, yellow has a big D, plus the outlining on the yellow). It also looks like the yellow has more of a scowl with squintier eyes.

Like i said, these are all variations in sculpts, it's not like Bowen just took the red statue mold and slapped yellow paint on it.

The "DD" on red and "D" on yellow chest is different. And I think there is a scultped line for the yellow's "tank top" where red is a one piece.

Exactly right.

I really don't get how folks cant see the differences in the sculpts.

Same goes for SSC's Iron & Black spidey.

I think a different facial expression on each gargoyle would have been a nice touch as well.

i like the buck teeth on the yellow version

lol. If you hadn't said anything, I would have never noticed.

Damn I was going to join Bowens collectors club and then saw he does nt ship outside the States!!Is the plan still to have the Hulkbuster exclusive with the open mask does anyone know?

I like all of them except for the armored DD..never like the design on that one...I'll be buying that Hulkbuster (or maybe the Battle Damage variant) to match Against one of the Hulks coming...great stuff from Bowen again.

we have sold a tremendous amount of preorders on the Hulkbusters and Daredevils with the Red one being the most popular...International Guys looking to save $$$ on bowen stuff should shot me a pm or email me...I know a bunch of you guys in this thread have preordered your stuff from me!! thanks again!!

the Hulkbuster is so bad azz that I am going to have one in my colleciton as well..

I agree that when it comes to Marvel, Bowen has the upper hand in variety and excitement. Sideshow needs to drop the bomb on at least 2 new PFs/Comiquettes and they HAVE to be one of these: Daredevil, Juggernaut, Abomination, Hawkeye or Silver Surfer. It's time to drop the hammer to keep the excitement going.

Its a double edged sword. If SSC really did the variations of Bowen and he does do some amazing pieces and character choices, in the Comiquette or PF lines at the cost of them, people would complain there is too much at one time coming and that they have to pass, etc, etc, etc.

Bowen is good at what he does but man trying to keep up with his releases is tough. I like SSC's pace because I can afford to follow it more closely.

i also think bowen releases too much stuff too quickly but they're just so sweet looking...and waiting for SSC to do some of the characters...sometimes you wait so long, it just becomes a let down when it's released.

the more bowen releases the better. bring it on...i just wish they'd give up the mini busts and focus on full size statues.

The Hulkbuster might be my first Bowen statue. I'd obviously prefer a 1:6 Hot Toys-style articulated figure, but I'm not sure we'll ever see one, and this looks absolutely amazing... for a statue.

No fabric on this to look dumb.

Why anyone would like a unproportioned 1/6th doll over a statue is beyond me...

The koto movie IM is a good example why. I saw a couple in person and the detail wasn't there. Granted, I haven't seen the HT Iron Man in person, but from the pictures, you can tell the detail is there. Heck, you can move most of the seperate flaps!

Anyway, I digress... but a well-engineered and executed articulated model will always impress me more than a static statue. Besides, I don't like how cloth looks translated into polystone.

Often 1:6 figures fall short of statues, but the obverse is also true. It depends on how well it's designed and executed. I think something like the Hulkbuster IM armor would make a smashing high-quality figure if it were done right; I think Hot Toys has demonstrated that they could do it right.

Anyway, since I'm not holding my breath for that to happen, I'll be picking up the Bowen statue.
