Agreed on the SSC FB's, but I really love the Bowen FB's. I still would love to get the DD and Cap Am. Those were the ones I was after initially. Thor was another one I wanted, but since I couldn't get any of those, I spend the cash on Doom. Nice sculpt, but not my first choice. To bad there's no money left to get the others atm. What a ^^^^ed up situation.
Anyway, if DD or Captain America goes on second chance, please shoot me a PM people. I'm on the wait-list for those, but it seems I cannot count on SSC to notify me.

You can find them on ebay cheaper then retail sometimes.

I am sure people gave hope on the Wait List so they are forced to reveal "Second Chance" on these. Good for those people looking for these. I have always said the price is the killer factor on these. You can easily get a PF instead.

A few stores had them at NYCC for only slightly over retail on Friday. By Sunday, you could've gotten them below Ebay prices. I thought about it, but I'll wait for now.

Well, the thing with Bowen is that he doesn't sell outside USA. Therefore all the Bowen stuff you'll find here in EU, is expensive by definition. The few retailers that carry Bowen stuff here, automatically add what they payed for shipping and taxes to the original retail price. As strange as it may sound, but buying the Bowen statues from SSC is the cheapest option for me. Unless I'd find a very cheap offer on Ebay. And even then, I'd have to add shipping and taxes, which wouldn't make it much cheaper then when I'd buy from SSC. Tax on items bought in the US is roughly 25% plus a handeling fee of $13... .

That's funny, because you find Bowen stuff by the wheelbarrow-full over here, expecially at conventions.

Didn't all those FB statues sell out in 20 second and people pitched a fit? Guess they were all hype.

I don't know what is wrong with the guy in charge of the wait-lists. I'm on the wait-list for both, Spidey and Thor, and I don't get a notification!! In stead SSC puts these up for second chance, and I have to get the news though the freaks board... . Makes me puke.

I have to agree with you, I too am on the Waitlist for this piece minutes after it sold out at PPO.

Sadly it's the second time within a view weeks that this has happened to me.
I had a somewhat tense eMail exchange with their customer care in regards of the T-800 Lifesize "Clean" Version, a 6k $ piece I might add, a mere week ago.

In a nutshell: When their new website went live, I signed the reopened Waitlist for this piece, which was then closed some months after, and reopened with a Newsletter last June. Again I jumped on the Waitlist only minutes after it went up, this time for Flexpay, only to see a Regular order which had been placed about half an hour after mine convert.
I inquired about this situation and was reassured that the next one would be mine. Well guess what, the Waitlist closed again in October last year.
Btw. did you notice the Clean Endo that emerged in the Express Update two weeks ago? That's right... :duh

I expect my business partners to be a little more credible.

I feel exactly the same way. The way they handle some wait-lists, 2nd chances and Express Updates is really disturbing. Makes one think they sometimes handle these things "at random". I guess we don't pay them enough already so they get it right.
