That FB Symbiote looks really nice!

Now I need to decide if I want to sell my original Spideys these FB variants are based on...hmmm. I don't know if 4 of basically the same sculpt will be that cool, but I am a Spidey nut :)

Definitely not in any rush. Market for collectables stinks right now, just like everything else.

Sorry to revive an older thread, but it's warranted. I just received my FIRST BOWEN PIECE EVER TODAY!!! It's the Faux Bronze Daredevil FS statue. I'll have pictures up later, but I had to comment now. I'm so impressed with this piece that it's unbelievable. For those of you who don't own any pieces from the Faux Bronze line, have "no fear." (Yes, pun intended. :lol) The detail is exquisite and the finish is beautiful. Granted, I'm late to the "game," but will undoubtedly continue to collect this line....minus the villains of course. :D

Again, not the best of photos, but you get the point.

Absolutely perfect IMO!

Awesome stuff Chapter I've put off this line as well but I've always said if I go something Bowen that I would go Faux Bronze. I'm looking to pick up a few of these in the near future.

I would never deny that the Faux Bronze by Bowen are not impressive ... they certainly are.

As an avid collector, I am not impressed with the number of older pieces Bowen has decided to go back and FB them. To me, they are breaking the edition number, and are using the fact it is a FB now to recast something that should not be done again.

If you are going to introduce FB, then do it at the time of the release of the piece along with the color one. Like SS did with the Jurassic Park T-Rex Dio.

Don't go back and do many of your pieces over again.

Look at the latest to join the FB Bowen line:

Really, for those people who have the original piece, seen it go up in value, now are going to find it sliding back because AFTER the piece was finished, they go back and decide to make some more in a different color.

I can see maybe a couple of pieces to do this, but why so many? It is not impressive for me, and is making me rethink about how many Bowen pieces to continue keeping in my collection.

I pretty much agree with everything you said here. Seems like Randy Bowen is whoring himself out and just trying to get as much money as he can, even if it means screwing the collector and their "investment."

Obviously the dude has talent, why increase the ES on a "retired" statue? soon we may see Volume I, Volume 2, series 3, etc. of the same statue.

IMO, it will turn OFF a lot more fans than it turns ON. I've pretty much given up on Bowen stuff (with exception of Planet Hulk) because of the mass flooding of the market of BD items. Way to cheapen your enterprise RB.

Are you even listening to the complaints for the past year or two? But like I said before, always will be a sucker to buy the gimmick (myself included) till they wisen up and another sucker comes along.

Add Daredevil to the list of "must haves!"

I agree 100%.

they all look great, but i just noticed something, the sabretooth could've been pulled right from the ssc vs dio. he looks almost identical.

or maybe it's the other way around if bowens piece came out first...:D
i think bowens was first
