And actually, rewatching the pilot...

Forget Todd, forget Gray Matter, forget the Nazis. The finale needs to just involve Walter shooting that **** head jock Chad in the face.

I just got this idea about what the ricin is for.

Walt said that the ricin usually takes two to three days for it to actually work. What if Walt uses it on himself then he turned himself. In his mind, everything he's done he doesn't look at it as a bad thing. It's all justifiable, for his family. He's proud and wants to be that legend at this point. I think the whole Gray Matter thing plays a big part in Walts drive for control and building his empire.

After turning himself in. Clears his family and dies of "natural causes" they will think he finally succumb to his illness.

I thought that Walt may use it on himself pages ago and got laughed at! :lol
It does make sense that he goes full blown Heisenberg and kills all the bad guys, and turns himself in taking the ricin to die before he's taking to trial.
My other thought is the Scharwtz's? Maybe in champagne or wine
that Walt sends to them when he buys Gray Matter??

Great episode!

The telephone conversation between Walt and Walt Jr was heartbreaking. The reality of everything Walt has done has now been for nothing, finally hit home at that point I think.

Interested to see what sort of revenge Walt has in store for Gretchen and Elliot. For them to say he contributed nothing and meant nothing to Gray Matter, that is unforgivable.

I am pumped for next week :rock

Can't see Walt using it on himself, all he has to do is wait for the Cancer. That would be so much less painful to go through than what Ricin does.

Interesting observation...Walt, Hank, Popeye Doyle

I thought about him using it on himself as well.

Then again, ricin has never been used. It's always brought in as this sort of red herring. "Let's use it for Tuco", "let's use it on Gus", "oh man, Mr. White used it on Brock", but it never actually happens. It wouldn't surprise me if it's not used here.

I thought that Walt may use it on himself pages ago and got laughed at! :lol

The problem with ricin is it's a messy and horrible way to die. Can't see anyone -- let alone Heisenberg -- using it to commit suicide. You guys really think Walt wants to spend up to a week ****ting himself in his jail cell before he dies? There's no dignity dying via ricin. Look up what it does and ask yourself if that's the way Walt would want to go out.

Well who would Walt want to suffer the most?
Jack for killing Hank?
Jesse for turning on him after Walt saved his life numerous times and being the rat that resulted in Hank's death?
The Schwartzs' who humiliated Walt on TV regarding Gray Matter's founding?
Himself for breaking bad?

I think..
Jack=machine gun
Jesse=pass
Schwartzs'=company loss
Walt=ricin

Also if anyone read that long rambling spoiler aways back that I found it suggested that
Jesse takes off with Holly because Skylar and Walt Jr. are killed. I don't see that happening but I could see Jesse either giving Brock stacks of cash anonymously or taking off with him because he feels responsible for Andrea's death.

Because no Breaking Bad pilgrimage would be complete without a nod to Saul Goodman, we made sure to include a location where you can grab a beer and pay homage to the sleaziest lawyer in the Southwest.Hooligans is one of the only Breaking Bad exterior locations that will be celebrating with a public finale party, so if you have no place to go on Sunday night and you’re in the Albuquerque area, you’ve got the rare opportunity to swing by and watch it all end in a place it all began.

There has been chatter about the white crumpled napkin that looks like a crane next to Walt's Dimple Pinch.

I too became curious about the possible significance and symbolism of the crane, since VG does a lot of this throughout BB. I looked for the more obscure stuff because "peace" "luck" and "longevity" seems too optimistic for Walt, unfortunately.

This is what I found. I probably has no relevance other than being a crumpled bar napkin but I did these points interesting:
The crane is a powerful and auspicious totem in almost all cultures. One exception is Celtic Britain, where cranes were associated with death, treachery, war, and evil women.

A popular Native American story features a pet crane that saves its owners from destruction at enemy hands, giving its own life in the process.

"...The next morning the family returned to see what had become of their pet crane. There, riddled to pieces, lay the poor bird who had given up his life to save his dear friends."

Probably means nothing other than I have too much time on my hands and need to go back to work! :cuckoo: :lol

One character aspect of Walt's that can't be denied - the man is an awesome tipper.

:exactly: :lol

After reading the facts about the crane symbolism, I've changed my predictions to:

Jack=machine gun
Jesse=pass (saved)
Schwartzs'=company loss/ruin
Lydia=Todd
Walt=death to save Jesse

100% positive the ricin is not for Walt.

It's either for Lydia or the Schwartzs.

At the end of the day Walt is a high school chemistry teacher who ever so briefly had delusions of being king. He allied himself with the underbelly of society--meth cookers (Jesse), street dealers (Badger and Skinny Pete), Distributors (Tuco, Gus), sleazy lawyers (Saul Goodman), White Supermecists (Uncle Jack), etc. He stewed in his jealousy of Elliott and Gretchen. He accumulated $80 million in drug money on the backs and misery of addicts and their families. He lied. He cheated. He stole. He killed. He rationalized every dispicable thing that he did by saying it was for his family. He failed.

And that's why we love this character.

Theories aside, a lot has got to happen in that last hour and fifteen minutes to live up to everyone's expectations.

I too thought the Schwartz's would be good candidates for the ricin, but then I thought how would Walt administer it? They don't smoke, but they do drink wine, celebratory champagne...Dimple Pinch?

And Lydia? Todd because she refuses his advances.
