I decided not to get it either.

It should look perfect and I have some issues with it.

I agree, I would want a painted version too.

I ordered one last night. It's the first statue, prop replica, toy, etc that I've bought in a couple years.

I'm hoping that some minor issues get corrected before it's released. The statue does look incredibly thin in profile. Hard to confirm from photos, but that sure seems to be the case.

Thanks Natrix :duff Nice to know *someone* reads it anyway ;)
Yeah, thanks again Natrix....I suppose some of us are too busy reading our credit card statements and trying to figure out how to give more money away to Sideshow.

Hey Lonnie do you want sell me your SOF SSE 12 inch & Bernie Wrightson Bronze to help pay for your Bronze Vader?:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl Just thought I would check.

That's pretty funny Nick... because for a split second, I was considering that very option. :lol While I would love to own the Bronze Vader, it is just too much money for me right now... if he is still available after SDCC (which I highly doubt) then I may re-look at the possibility, but I really don't foresee owning this one.

I really love that sculpt. Theres something about this helmet that reminds me of the beloved Hildebrant poster, despite this obviously being the ESB Vader (pose, pouldrans, etc).

I've owned cars cheaper than that, though. I would be all over a painted version but this Bronze will probably be up there with the giant wish-list of stuff I wish I had been able to get.

Tell that to those who have the Doom PF. :D

Maybe we can get Sideshow to run some "accelerated aging" tests on the Premium Formats and report back how long they should last under "ideal conditions"! :rotfl

But seriously, if well taken care of, they should last a heck of a long time... probably more than 100 years. I've seen some antique dolls on Antique Roadshow that were approaching 200 years old, and they looked in pretty darn good shape; the clothing will be the hardest thing to keep from deterioration.

Does anyone else think he looks like he wants you to smell his fingers? I really would like to get this piece but there is just something about it that looks way off(aside from the chest and slinder frame).
