Bruce Willis/ Mclain die hard customs help

Id love to have a mclain frm the 1st die hard movie and pos dh2, but also a dh 4 bald bruce, would love to see ppls work for inspiration.

i been looking at getting the dead end series 2 figure then getting anew better sculpted bald bruce head for a dh4, ??

also ive been told a better body aswel??

i did think of getting everything seperate and building frm scratch but its been very hard finding everything...the brown leather jckt that looks acurate enough and a detective badge in a wallet.

any suggestions and help frm ppl would be appreciated. and any tip offs 2 ppl with best body type, changes to make and if any1 knws agood place to get the bald bruce head?

i might go for that bruce head for a dh4 custom. i spoke to small studios and it is possible to alter it to make abald bruce for dh4 so im thinking this one. small studio also said he recomends this head of bruce as he said its a really good likeness?

any cheance of a couple of close up shots thainer?? thanks

I've got that head from Lonnie too. It's not particularly accurate, I htink the face is too thin. I've painted it up but not happy with it so will tinker it up a bit. I was thinking of doing a custom from DH2 like this Feng one, I love it!

2b honest tho i wasnt too happy with the look of lonnies head, its good dont get me wrong but not spot on bruce for me. i found a decent head iwas happy with and have sent it over to josh small studios so watch this space, hopefully ill have a die hard 4 custom to show soon.

I was about to ask you what head it is you have but it's the bald Bruce, right? I hated DH4. I finished painting my Lonnie Bruce head, I'll post a pic later but it just looks even less like him now (which is common on most custom heads when paint it applied).

No doubt about it, Feng really is very good at capturing the McClane character. One of the best Willis's out there. His 16 blocks Willis is the best IMO.

actually nick no it isnt a bald bruce, its a sculpt of bruce with hair, josh is sanding it down and getting rid of the hair for me. the bald bruce heads i seen are too small and not in 1/6 proportion.

and i enjoyed dh4, it wasnt amazing as ppl was hoping i think, esp with it being pretty toned down comapred to the others but still watchable for me. and ithink josh is giving him a battle damaged dirty paint job. so will need to dye the clothes and add some dry blood etc.

it was a bruce with hair sculpt i found on ebay, there was a bald bruce and a hair bruce, but the size in both was alot differnet. after some research i found out the bald bruce version the guy had was smaller than the 1 with hair so i got the hair bruce and having it altered by josh.

ill post some pics when im done. i jst need the clothing etc for dh4 bruce now. i will prob use a dragon neo3 body, simply for cost value.

Ah its probably that one that's always on eBay then by seller diver54 or some other similar username - never liked any of his sculpts. Anyway here's those pics of my Lonnie Brucie - I painted him with Die HArd 2 in mind hence the no grey hair. Personally I think the profile is way off.

yeah that lonnie bruce isnt to my liking really, altho i am a picky guy aah. !

but yeah the bruce was 1 of those regularly seen on ebay, but honestly mate. the ebay pics dnt do it justice, in hand i think its looks awsome.

What do you mean? Lonnie's doesnt look so bad compared to when its painted or compared to that other sculpt?

A decent sculpt of Bruce is hard to come by. If the sculpt isnt accurate then naturally the paint job (or my paint job if that's what your referring to) isnt gonna be good either.

Having said that it's usual for a likeness to be lost after an unpainted head is painted. Perhaps if I had a better camera that could focus much closer it would look better and you couls see the details. Would you care to explain why it's so bad rather than just blankly and unconstructively tell me it sucks? It must be my painting your referring to cos before you said it werent so bad. Must be something in the water as it seems to be happening a lot to me lately.

LoL. Please don't take it personal. I think I am more picky than most and I really should not be as I don't have any true painting skills... so I applaud all that try. However... I will say, I did some looking into it last night and did see the narrowness of the face to be wrong, as well as the eyes... I think the hair lacks detail. It may just be me. But please don't think otherwise.
