If only JND had painted the eyebrows lighter. I will see if there's any way I can do it to make it look like the adjusted eyebrow colour photo on the right.
Just that simple change to the colour makes a MASSIVE amount of difference (at least to the way my eyes perceive the likeness). I'll always remember the interview I saw with one of Madame Tussauds sculptors who made a special point of saying that the eyebrows can be one of the most important features that make or break a likeness. I agree with them.

This is seriously the most baffling release, where it feels like the buyer is taking a punt on what the hell they're going to get - the thickness of his face is these shots looks about right, whereas every other shots or video makes it look too thin. WTF???? I could kind of understand if it was Indy only but whenever Henry is photographed/videod as well - even with lens distortion - the Henry looks good.

I just don't get it (and my job is working with cameras).

If the statue I receive looks like the one Virtual Devil reviewed, my enthusiasm and excitement for changing it to a Raiders version just got invigorated again!

Could it be that photographing these silicone sculpts is just different in the way they absorb the light, etc?

I only have 2 JND statues, but both look so much better in hand and not as warped or funky as some photos make them out to be.

Honestly, I don't know. I took photos of my The Batman and (I think) they turned out great - with very little effort on my behalf, only one key light.

This one is off an iPhone - again, very little effort put in - and people that see it on the phone think it's a person in a suit.

I just don't get it; the Henry looks great in every photo no matter how badly it's been taken, yet the Indy only looks great in a couple???

I can't tell if they opened the eyes up more or if they just look more squinted from the shadow in the JND shot, does feel like maybe something has changed but can't really tell

Just different lighting / camera. JND were not allowed to make any changes to it due to Disney saying "No, the prototype has been approved now so that's what you're going to make". I actually feel sorry for JND a bit as it sounds like they did want to improve it, but their hands were tied by the intellectual property owner.

Have no emotional or physical connection with this release - but for me, it looks as promised from their proto. I don't know what to say really, other than it's the one company which actually delivers on what they show you at point-of-purchase, and as they've explained before, one reason why drastic changes aren't made is precisely because people who purchase have purchased it based on the proto being what they are happy with and expect to get.

If you pre-ordred this based on the proto I don't see what there is to not be happy with. I would much rather a company give as close to the proto as possible in which I've made an order than to have changes right at the end. Ordering with the hopes of changes is a fools game, in my opinion. I do think Connery is better, but I think the Harrison likeness is pretty good, and even better without the hat.

You back on board, or definitely cancelling?
Place I preordered from actually offered to give me back half of the preorder deposit which was nice of them. I didn’t ask.

I think those of you that go ahead will be happy enough with it though.

That's awesome! I'm assuming because you profile says Australia, it would have been Sugo Toys, yeah?

Clement Huang dropped some photos on FB. Says the solo edition is limited to 100 pieces.
