Bubo IMAGE Thread

I got my Bubo excl. yesterday. Overall I like it but I'm not flipping out over it. The paint and sculpt were all done well, it's just that the characters are rather too obscure. I prefer an Endor Trooper any day over Bubo and friends.

But if you don't have the exclusive coming, skip the set. It just doesn't feel like it's worth $45 without the extra Womp Rat. Maybe if you can score it for $35 at retail.

I do have an issue with Bubo, his collar came partially ripped by his chain. Right where the chain connects to the collar. But I just don't feel like I want to go through the replacment process, so I'll live with the flaw.

That was my biggest concern. Looking at all the pics he does look great. The sculpt is so awesome and the paint job is an A+. I just looked at the bill ($49.72) and I felt that I couldn't justify it.

Heres hoping I see one for $20 sometime. Otherwise, the money I was going to use for it is slipping into the Palps/Hobbit envelope.

Yeah, the price is a little off-putting. But I will tell you that Bubo himself is much larger then you'd might expect, pictures don't really do it justice. He's about 8 inches long, almost 5 inches high and has about 3-1/2 inch wide torso, with another inch for the with of his feet at either side. I'd say he's about the size of a 1:6 scale person because what he lacks in length, he more then makes up in his bulk.
Err, didn't mean for that to sound so dirty.

I also have mine coming from there. I figured that I'm probably going to have too many creatures for my Jabba display as it is without having an extra rat, although as exclusives go, it's one of the nicer ones.

Sadly Bubo doesn't fit on my Jabba shelf... he's just too damned big. But I'm sure oneday he can come out and play, but for now the other smaller critters are getting some shelf space.

I'm also throwing in this picture of the recently-added Hasbro Rappertunie, which I've discovered is 1:6 (even though it was included in the 4" figure line); reference sources list his height as .3 meters, which is half as tall as Salacious Crumb....
