hmm, does look a little thin, now that you mention it, purely an effect of macro mode on the camera, that, and the fact its a fairly basic point and shoot camera.
I have a feeling the belt really would look "baggy" on a 1/6 scale figure :wacky

As for the lip, purely camera angle and or lighting, mine is rather bright, I tend to do that on purpose, so that everything can be clearly seen, but it can wash things out a bit, like the skin tones on her face and chest.

Maybe one day when I stop buying statues, I'll be able to afford a good quality DSLR :D

Actually, it's a very good quality pic. I can lie and say I like the alternate version more. hehe

nah, thats ok mate, I think my ego can take it.

Its not that I don't like the original, just don't like the poped on, pan-cake hair that has that "nappy tan" colour.

At the end of the day, the alt hair (with fixed eyebrows) and original dress would just about be perfect.
If I was very brave, one could take the pants off the alt and get new matching dress, the alt does have painted knee high boots, just the same, not sure if the legs are fully painted tho.

One thing that does look a little cool is the box, yeah I know its not much, but still, I wonder if someone has a broken full statue and would like to sell just the box.
Or did anyone make a 1/4 scale leather weapons bag, with a few things in it, could be a real little bag or sculpted.

Yup, she is much sexier and more delicate looking than the alternate version that was thrown together in what seems like last minute. The only good thing going for the alternate Buffy is the better sculpted hair, and even then it's not that enormous of an improvement. Because the big dark eyebrows throw it off. Now the gripes I have with the alternate over the original. The original has the sexy legs showing and of course the pose, outfit, and even the hair is off an actual official Buffy promo. Were as the alternate Buffy is not based on anything. It's generic. The outfit is poorly done. It's basically the black dress cut down, with cheesy pants that don't even sit or fit properly on the figure. Again, sorry for those who own that piece, but when it comes to the Buffy PF, this is the one to own. The hair better matches up with the face, just because I don't like how the blonde softer looking hair matches up with those eye brows.

completely agreed. The alternate one was just a cheap $ grab IMHO.
They charge $250 and are too cheap to make an actual new shirt/blouse and the pants are so baggy at the waist that Willow could fit in with her....

o....kay

:)

I had both in hand but when I got the alt with a gouge in its chest and an eyelash falling off, I didn't hesitate. Packed it up and it went back for a refund. I could not get over how badly the pants are tailored. Not just the loose waist, after-thought belt, but also the poor vinyl material and the way her pockets sagged down to the top of her thighs. The caterpillar eyebrows were only the final straw.

I just posted pics of my (recently completed) "slayer" collection in the Show Your Shelves Forum. Check it out and let me know what you think. *Thanks P1X4R.* :wave

Granted my pics don't look as good as the ones you took of her, but I had to give it a try. :lol
